We had our wedding at Veterans Memorial Building, and it was perfect! The venue was everything we wanted and more. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with set-up and tear down. The communication with the program coordinator, Tish, was thorough and efficient. She checked in with us during the planning process which made things go so much smoother. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

Don’t miss the Grant wood Stainglass window. It is stunning in both beauty and size. It’s a short little stop and it doesn’t cost a thing, but it is quite a spectacular thing to see. They also have little brochures that help you decipher the meaning of all of the little details on the window, which is quite helpful as there are lots of historical facts packed into the scene.

Came across this by accident, but definitely worth the visit. It's listed on Atlas Obscura's site for Weird Places To See in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Beautiful architecture and location.

BEAUTIFUL! Historic. Massive! Parking was a breeze, we didn't expect that! Bathrooms were good, more than adequate for this space.

Nice architecture, but the building only allows visitors by events or appointment. Might be due to covid but very disappointed we couldn't get inside when passing through town!

I had worked on the island for Linn County for 20 years, which enabled me to visit many of these historical buildings. Our city has maintained them perfectly. I've found that each has its own uniqueness, that must be seen in person, to fully capture and appreciate. I'm proud of our beautiful downtown area, and glad that it's standing the test of time for my grandchildren to visit and future generations.

My favorite healthy place to eat in Cedar Rapids - you can’t go wrong with the no coast bowl or the chana masala. Tried the spring rolls for the first time this visit (sweet potato, red cabbage and micro greens) and recommend. High quality ingredi
