I went as a first-time skier. Purchased an hour & a half learn2 and an all-day pass. +Check-in: the ladies who checked us in were super nice & we completed this step in about 5 mins. +Rental: the rental team did not have our information & the young man at the counter had no idea how to find our info, so we had to go back to check-in for printing. I recommend printing off an “if this happens, then go here” training sheet. Once that happened, it was easy to get our rentals. +Learn2: the ski school instructors had what felt like a hands-off approach, but when I asked for support they were great! Ray was particularly helpful. Once we conquered the bunny hill, i went to the easiest mountain & it was very scary - i felt unprepared. The intro lesson also did not prepare me for getting on a ski lift. Kyle was not my instructor, but his smiley face and positive energy were infectious. +Lodge: the lodge was comfortable & had great post ski food options, though I’d recommend going easy on the salt. Overall a good experience, though I wouldn’t consider it first-timer friendly for people who have no experience with snow or board sports.
Absolutely impressed with the terrain here. Great small town feel but long vertical runs. High speed quad takes you right to the top. Tricky part is catching good conditions here as we got rained on pretty hard but it was still fun. Lift tickets and camping still very reasonably priced which is rare these day with ski culture dying off and all. Thanks for keeping it real. Staff was all wonderful too.
I had a great time up here. The staff were courteous, pleasant, and very helpful. They facilitate a laid back and relaxing atmosphere that can appeal to everyone. This place definitely lacks the snootiness that a typical resort can carry, it is apparent as it stems from the small community that surrounds it. The trails were exciting and challenging; however, they boast a lot of beginner runs that are chill and enjoyable. Not to mention the steeper terrain(which I was surprised to see). If you’re looking to branch out from some of the most frequently visited hills, 49 is a great option! I will definitely be returning.
I purchased the EZ 1-2-3 ski package. I had so much fun!! I skied both days! The snow was perfect, and the staff were amazing. I received two amazing lessons from Frank. Whitney helped me on the lift my first few times and was super friendly. My entire experience was outstanding! I would highly recommend this place!!
I’ve not been in two years, so factor that in, but it is your small town ski resort. Nice runs, a fair number of groomers. I heard they got a high speed quad in, so that should be nice. They have good French fries too. I got up there one time and didn’t have any goggles. The wind was really strong so I went to the ski rental to see if there were any I could borrow and one of the techs let me borrow his very nice goggles for the day! (Free of charge!) Friendly, small town mountain. Everyone is more friendly than at Schweitzer.
What an awesome experience, I have been waiting to visit 49° North for several seasons now, and it did not disappoint! It was nothing less than amazing!! The conditions and terrain were totally excellent, the representatives were all friendly, professional, and courteous. The guests were all awesome too. All the Terrain options were incredible, great grooming, great terrain parks, long runs that were wide. Everything from simple Green Runs to awesome "expert only" double black diamond runs. The tree runs were amazing, with plenty of fresh powder stashes to have extra fun through!!
I have had a great time at 49 this year. It is a wonderful mountain to ski with all kinds of runs. It also has a great lodge with food and a bar that have great staff.
The one and only time I've been snowboarding. I loved everything about this place. It had good variety of runs. A lot of choices for a beginner. Prices were standard for the lift tickets. We rented out equipment from the military base. Top of the chairlift and mountain was beautiful. I haven't been on top of many mountains, but would love to come back one day because I loved my time here. Thanks!

Great option to stay if skiing at 49! The owners were very friendly and even made us aware of a discount we could get. Rooms were well maintained and clean.
I was working till 9:48, close to this store, then I saw everywhere are closed, but this on was almost closed, but they welcome to me and took my order right before 10. The important thing is they gave me a pizza that was amazing. I usually don't rev
