We made our reservation earlier in the evening, once we decided how far we wanted to travel. We pulled in at 11 pm and retrieved our key electronically with the code they had sent to us. The room was super clean, the bed comfortable and even though a highway runs past, our room was very quiet. The one extra I would have found very useful is a mirror outside of the bathroom so two could get ready at the same time. (But that might mess with the fun decor.) This is an old style drive up motel but completely updated. Our favorite kind! We were not there long enough to make use of it, but there was a sliding glass door to step out the backside and enjoy the quietness of the woods behind us. |Breakfast was delightful! The food truck has a small’ish menu but absolutely unique with substantial selections. Hubs said his “Roadie Sandwich” is absolutely the best breakfast sandwich he has ever eaten. I went for the “Austin Breakfast Tacos” and hoping there’s a next time to try the Michiana French Toast. We enjoyed eating outside in a nice area they have created for guests.
The place is doing everything right - and they have absolutely earned this review. I was super impressed that this affordable, dog friendly, and comfy spot. Our room was clean, creatively designed, and great to have our dog. The staff were helpful and kind. The food truck in the morning had some fantastic and affordable food. If you are a couple or a young family this is the place to stay!
When my daughters turn 9 I take them on a mother-daughter trip! This was our last daughter/trip!!! She wanted someplace close to the beach! New Buffalo beach was only 11 minutes away ($7.50/3 hr parking). We got a 2 bedroom suite and it did NOT disappoint! I'm very picky on cleanliness and this place was spotless and cozy! Love the decor as it was very unique from standard hotels. Everything seemed brand new. One of our favorite amenities was the private outdoor patio off of our room, so peaceful and it had a heater for chilly nights. Staff was very kind and we were able to text for any questions or help we may need which was super convenient. |We thought the train tracks across the road would be annoying but it only went 1 or maybe 2x during the daylight hours. |Convenient location. Delicious food suggestions nearby (food truck on premises was yummmmmmy and high quality). |Would ABSOLUTELY stay here again!
Pillows were great! Very comfortable whether you are a back, stomach or side sleeper! Beds were fantastic! Room was extremely spacious. We had more than enough room for 3 adults and an infant. Patio was relaxing to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. Food truck had amazing food. Location was perfect.
Our stay began with a wonderful, friendly staff! It continued with a spotlessly clean room with waters in the fridge waiting on us. The decor in the room is beautiful with windows to let in light and a great view from the outdoor patio of the woods. We loved it. We were in the family suite because we had 6 people, and it was nice to find a place with a suite we could all be together in.
This place has been recently remodeled and the rooms are very nice. Great decor and had a quiet overnight stay. There is a bonfire area with chairs which I would have loved to use if we had stayed more than one night. Only problem I had was my phone couldn't decide which time zone I was in so my wake up alarm went off twice!😆
What a wonderful stay ! The rooms are beautifully decorated and super clean ! We enjoyed the complimentary snacks in the main office and coffee & water in the room. The back doors looking out to the trees really gives the room a special feel. Just a few minutes down the road is the beach , restaurants and casino too
Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet, efficient with refrigerator and nice amenities. The patio in back was pleasant looking at woods and quiet. Easy access to New Buffalo and Michigan City. The beds were comfortable and bathroom decor was very nice.
I made an appointment at Spa Blu for a massage and pedicure. The entire staff was friendly. Me and hubby had a couples massage. Jiovante and Stephanie were awesome. They were very professional, courteous and wonderful Massage Therapist. Highly recom
