Location: fantastic.||Room: It wasn't bad, wasn't good. It was weird—with a monstrous hot tub sitting in the middle of it that we didn't use. The TV didn't work and no help was offered when we called about it...we were disappointed as we'd wanted to watch the Olympics. There was a DVD player but no DVDs. The loveseat to sit on was uncomfortable. The bed was fine. ||Bathroom: I would never want to drop the soap in that shower as it was so small I wouldn't be able to bend over to pick it up! There were clean towels set out but the prior guests' used towels were still hanging in the bathroom. Ick.||Value: All-in-all a disappointment and wouldn't stay there again. Definitely not worth the money.
We stayed for a weekend in Suite 1 & it was wonderful! The parking was a HUGE plus and having our own door to the outside was nice. Everything in the room was great other than the TV. During our stay (April 2024) all of the doors were locked and we felt perfectly safe (The room has a locking door as well). We spent $330 for 2 nights and it felt like an amazing value. We will definitely be visiting again!
I chose room 5 and the photos on the website did not do it justice. Very Nice room--spacious, clean and well-appointed. Large deck outside the room was perfect and location in the heart of downtown was ideal. Check in was a breeze as well. Will be staying there again.
We arrived late (7:45 pm) for our anniversary weekend to find our room had been (was?) occupied. Bed askew, wet towels strewn, empty bottles and cups..etc. The owner had texted earlier in the day so we did not anticipate a problem. I realize this can happen, but there was no return call from the owner. Ever. We were luckily able to find a motel room, distant from the main area, unfortunately. The refund was posted quickly. But we never received a call, text or email of explanation or apology. We did not let it ruin the trip. But would not recommend.
An unexpected amount of snow hit while we were visiting Galena and so we needed to book a room at the inn last minute. They were super accommodating at the last minute, and we were overjoyed to get a room. While it needs some updating, everything was very clean and well kept. They do want to look into updating/installing some heating options though because the rooms were absolutely freezing last night and there’s no climate control in the rooms. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again!
Location and parking are great.|Room 4 was not recently renovated, my opinion. Room was somewhat clean but there were spider webs in the corners of the ceiling. The carpet in the lounging area was old.|The continental breakfast is sketchy but there is a sandwich shop next door that had an amazing breakfast.|First night I am pretty sure we were the only ones in the building and never seen anyone at the front desk.|Only way into the building is through the back door. Unlocking the door was cumbersome.|Not sure exactly what is going on with this B&B, if it is new owners, a work in progress or if this is just what you get. |For the money we spent, we’ll look around next time.
Stayed there this weekend. Great place, very cozy. Has dedicated parking which helped a lot in that area. The couple that runs it were very friendly and helpful. There isn't much of a breakfast (but they don't advertise it as a bed and breakfast anyway), but tons of good food options very close. Room was clean, had a nice charm, and the doors were locked the whole time (they give you a key to get in and out of the building).
Friendly owner, great location for enjoying main street and it's stores and restaraunts. The room was clean, and comfortable.
Absolutely wonderful! We stayed in the spacious Elizabeth suite with picturesque views of Galena. The breakfast was hearty and delicious. To wind down our day, fresh baked cookies, happy hour drinks, and snacks were provided . To top it off, Resa, C
There are plenty of options for a Bed and Breakfast in Galena, and I canât imagine a better experience anywhere than we had. Bob and Cherish were the most welcoming of hosts and have a beautiful home in a great location. Our room and bed were clea

A must stop for anyone visiting Galena. The volunteers and blacksmiths are great and willing to share the rich history and skills. The pieces they make are worth every penny and are beautiful. Rich was very informative and willing to teach me. I am d
