Excellent motel style resort in a wonderful location. Free parking and a cheap laundry room, under $2 per wash from memory. The reception also stocked tea bags and coffee, ao we can pop in when we ran out in the room. ||We came with a 1 year old and although the resort didn't provide a baby cot, the king size bed was big enough to have our baby sleeping between us.||We found the room spacious and clean upon arrival, barring some dust and debris our crawling baby found. The bathroom set up was a bonus, with the sink sitting outside the toilet and bath tub. This enabled us to bath the baby separately, while the other can get access to the sink to wash up any soiled clothes from weaning (daily occurrence). Housekeeping has to be requested the morning before. This caused a slight issue when our baby threw up in bed on the first night. A short trip to reception yielded a blanket, as they didn't routinely spare stock linen and we weren't able to give enough notice for housekeeping to change the sheets. So we cranked up the heating all night long. ||Stayed for 3 nights and the location is great. Walkable distance to Heavenly gondolas and shops, plus a short drive to the supermarket and eateries. We discovered Five Guys and Panda Express a few mins drive away, which I'd order to take back to the room to eat in the evenings.||I was able to walk to the casinis across the state line one evening, just for a nosey. To be honest it's no Las Vegas, but it was a novelty!||We didn't manage to use the outdoor jacuzzi as we had a baby with us. But it looked welcoming and magical when it was snowing.||Will recommend to others considering an affordable stay in South Lake Tahoe.
Calling this hotel a resort and beach club might be a bit of a stretch, but it's big advantages are location and price. Like many places in South Lake Tahoe, it looks a bit dated and worn, but the room was clean, and it had a good shower. Parking can be a bit of a challenge if the hotel is running full, but we were able to park on the street the first night. No breakfast at the hotel, which was a bit disappointing. There is a Starbucks a couple blocks up the hill on the main drag though. All-in-all, a decent place to stay if you don't want to pay the big casino-hotel prices. And, the Tahoe area is beautiful too, which helps.
This is one of the best kept secrets in South Lake Tahoe! Best hot tub (large and open late 😉) Great rooms…extremely comfortable beds and not to mention the location! It is tucked back a block from the main road and casinos so it is quiet but if you want to go out to Heavenly village , restaurants or casinos it is a very short walk. I also want to mention the customer service Jessica and Julie and Ray are all super amazing at taking care of you… many different types of rooms and dog friendly. Excellent place to stay in South Lake Tahoe! I come back each time ….
The location is good. The pool is out of service. Seems to have been down for several months now. The water line says it all. The girl at the front desk lied to everyone, saying it just went out today. There's no reason to lie to us. Just tell the truth! The rooms seem outdated, and the decor theme is all over the place, with no rhyme or reason. The shower seems nice and spacey but not fully clean. The jacuzzi tub looks a little dirty, and the pieces are falling off.
This was our first stay at this hotel & I’m not usually one to write a review but I felt this need one.
Pros: The location was awesome. Just a short walk to Hevenly which I liked so I could take my kiddo mini golfing, get some ice cream, & there’s plenty of dinner options there. The hotel also gave vouchers for the private beach (Only have to pay $5 per person to go on the beach w/ the voucher & you get daily vouchers) which was also a short walk & super clean but it’s an alcohol free beach in case you’re looking to relax with a drink. When we first checked in, Yuli was at the front desk & she was SO nice & incredibly helpful. The rooms were decently updated.
Cons: I know it’s a pet friendly hotel but the bathroom stunk of cat pee & it got worse when the we would run the shower. The bathroom sink water was HOT & wouldn’t get cold until the second day into our trip & it was rare when it did get cold. Unfortunately they don’t have daily maid service which is a bummer because we had put our towels on the floor thinking they did (I know it’s also our fault for doing this because it probably mentioned it some where). When I went to the front desk to ask for more towels, they mentioned that you have to give 24 hr notice if you want maid service & they didn’t have any hand towels to give us. Beds are also not very comfy & though the mini fridge looked very clean, but there was a BAD smell coming from it when you opened it, like something had been left in there a while. Lastly, we were pretty bummed because the pool was VERY cloudy & I just didn’t feel comfortable letting my kid go in there because I honestly could not tell if it was clean.
I would MAYBE stay here again because the prices are great & because of all the Pros I mentioned but I’m definitely going to check out other hotels first.
We've stayed there a few times and like it. We've stayed in their suites as well as their regular rooms. The regular rooms have more privacy than most inexpensive hotels because the room windows face the back, so you don't see people walking by in front. The suites are very nice and not too expensive. We felt very much at home in the suites. We once had some noisy neighbors but the management (without us saying anything) asked them to keep the noise down.
My husband and I came up to celebrate our wedding anniversary spur of the moment. We had never heard of this resort and chose it for the jacuzzi and beach entrance. We never even went to the beach! We had relaxation in the two tiered Jacuzzi and a gorgeous fire in the room, and the bed was the most comfortable ever! We had a really wonderful time here and I would wholeheartedly recommend this resort to my friends and family. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. 5 star weekend and reasonable rates. Thank you.
Rented a room with a couple of days notice. For the price I wasn't expecting a whole lot. But from check in to the room and proximity to everything I was so very pleased. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Parking was abundant. I would most definitely return. Thanks

The hotel is new and beautiful. The rooms were extremely clean and well stocked, even the kitchen had everything we could potentially want! The bed was super comfortable, the heated floors in the bathroom were great.

Great experience. The hotel is well located near restaurants, supermarkets, shopping, and beaches/trails. The rooms were well remodeled and quiet. Check in was very modernized and easy, and the staff reached out the night before (and the day of) to m
We stayed in the Rubicon Room and it was lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was wonderful and we absolutely loved the lodge, the roaring fireplace, the big beams, and the gorgeous courtyard. Well worth it!
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
The Mt. Tallac trail is an amazing trail to hike in Lake Tahoe. It isn't easy, about 4.5 miles from the trail head to the summit with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the trail is mostly all rock and is very steep in parts. The
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
