21c Museum Hotel Kansas City - Hotel in Kansas City - 219 W 9th St, USA

This is going to be long winded, but I have never enjoyed a hotel and staff the way I’ve enjoyed 21c Museum and Hotel these last 5 nights. The art is beautiful and the restaurant is delicious but that’s only half the charm of this hotel. The staff made the trip for me and my boys one of the most enjoyable we have had. From the front door to the front desk to the housekeepers, everyone speaks to you as if you’re friends and any need is met as soon as you voice it. They are all kind, charming, and beyond accommodating. My youngest son in particular absolutely fell in love with some of the staff there and the love he felt back in return is unlike anything we’ve experienced in hotels before and we’ve stayed in plenty! This hotel doesn’t just give you a nightly hospitality check via automatic text message, the employees engage with you the moment you’re in sight. Now while I do not think this hotel is really meant for kids, they showed my kids nothing but patience and kindness. I do not plan to stay anywhere else when visiting KC in the future and plan to look for their other locations if I’m ever in range. Like I said, this may be a hotel best enjoyed by adults(even though they were wonderful to my little ones) so keep that in mind. The location, as well, is more enjoyable for adults. But I highly highly recommend staying here if you’re in town! They’re welcoming, kind, accommodating, and just enjoyable to speak with. Excellent work ethic and charming to boot! Thank you guys so much and I can’t wait for an opportunity to see you all again!

We chose this location because of the proximity to things we love in KC. We arrived late on a Wednesday evening and planned to sleep in on Thursday morning due to our travel schedule. Unfortunately, there was no communication between the front desk staff and the housekeeping staff because we were abruptly woken up by housekeeping staff at 8:20 AM to see if we were checking out on Thursday morning. Despite hanging the door hanger and communicating our plans with the front desk attendant, we were still woken up. Although the accommodations are in a great location and the room was clean, the customer service was an issue that we will remember.

I had a really long wait before my flight. Loved that 21C was available for day-use through the Accor Live Limitless (ALL) app. It was a great deal and the hotel was lovely - just like the reviews said. Staff were very friendly and my room was very clean. The hotel is walking distance from good restaurants and cafes, as well as a free bus stop to the airport! I would stay here again.

Very enjoyable trip to KC! Highlighted by stay at 21C hotel. Took advantage of the valet service nightly, wonderful peace of mind along with service. In particular Asher, Earl, and Quentin were helpful and kind while ensuring vehicle was taken care of. The Savoy restaurant and cocktail lounge is a refreshing meal with incredibly knowledgeable bartenders with advanced drink menu. The artwork/museum ensures a unique stay!

I have been putting off reviewing this because I so wanted to like it. The little things killed the experience. Does the head of the bed line up perfectly with the door? Yes. Does the elevator door line up perfectly with the room door? Also yes. I still have dreams of ding,ding, ding alli night. Want to have a nice glass of wine and check your phone? Better sit on the bed or the floor because we had no table or chair. Only a small couch. We went to use the fridge and it was a mini bar. I'm all for reusing in the name of ecology but this seemed cheap. We paid $40 per day for valet parking. Tipped the valet well and noticed the second day they said on the slip we needed to tip more. Pay your help instead of pocketing the fee and asking patrons to support them! They were great and deserved a wage that the tip is a bonus.

We visited only the museum which is really cute. I’m not sure how common hotel museums are and for someone who isn’t big on museums I absolutely adored this one. The theme being ‘The Future is Female’ definitely caught my attention and there were plenty intriguing pieces to reflect on and appreciate. The employee at the front helped decently, but because the layout isn’t very assuming I think a map or other employees to help guide as you walk through would be of great benefit. Otherwise you’ll find yourself roaming with no clue of your boundaries.

Really enjoyed our weekend stay. From check in to check out, it was just a pleasant no hassle experience. The location was outstanding. It was so easy to get to our other destinations. The valet parkling was just so efficient and the online car request and tipping made it super smooth. Just loved the whole experience. The only issue was the room itself. The bathroom was not up to the standards I would have expected for this level hotel. The sink needs replacing for sure. The shower head had a very weak stream. The rest was acceptable.

Staying at the 21c felt like staying at an expensive boutique hotel for a much lower price. The in house restaurant was amazing with absolutely delicious food and drinks. The beds were extremely comfortable and I loved the touch of a nespresso in each room. I enjoyed spending time looking at the art installations as well. If you are considering staying here, do it!
