1906 Lodge - Hotel in Coronado - 1060 Adella Ave, USA

Our first stay at the 1908 Lodge won't be our last! It was a wonderful experience for my husband and I as we celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary. This conveniently located, quaint and homey B&B exceeded our expectations on all fronts! From the extremely accommodating and friendly staff to their location which was within walking distance of the beach, great restaurants and shops; to the bikes they provided for exploring the island; to the comfortable and amenity-rich rooms with jacuzzi tubs and fireplace, the 1906 Lodge is a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of work and every day life. Thank you for a great experience. We will return!

Clean, quiet, and just a 5 min walk to quaint downtown Coronado and the beach. Tasty breakfasts each morning were a nice touch. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Underground hotel parking was a great amenity, as street parking was hard to come during the busy Labor Day weekend. The courtyard was the perfect spot to enjoy some down time and take in a good book. ||Note: There is no washer/dryer available for guest use at the hotel. However, there is a laundry mat a couple blocks away. So, plan accordingly.

Everything was great for our two night weekday stay. The staff was very attentive and professional. The daily happy hour was simple but delightful, and provided an opportunity to briefly socialize with other guests. For us, chatting with guests is one of the benefits of staying at a Bed and Breakfast. Both breakfast meals were delicious. They don’t have a menu or buffet, but like most B & Bs they offer a complete meal that is balanced. The staff did inquire about food allergies or preferences, so they will accommodate guest requests. The location was perfect; a quiet neighborhood just blocks from the beach, the Del, and the main strip of Orange Ave. We used the bikes one evening to ride around, and also borrowed towels, chairs and umbrella for a day at the beach. The only wrinkle of our stay was a broken beach umbrella. The room was a good size, the bed, the linens, and pillows were very comfortable, and the facility was very clean. The building has a courtyard with fountain, tables and chairs for relaxing outdoors. I believe each room also has its own small patio with chairs. The decor is lovely and was true to the era of the early 20th century, while fixtures, amenities, and the bath have all the benefits of modernity. I would return here again and highly recommend 1906 Lodge to you.

Delightful bed and breakfast. What a site to see, from the lovely flower gardens, charming historic features, and personalized notes. Breakfast in the garden was delicious and healthy. We enjoyed our room that had a super comfortable bed. I slept better than I had in a long time. Enjoyed the tea stations as well as the robes in the room. Thank you for an excellent stay! We would love to come back!

We will definitely stay here again. Great location, comfortable rooms and pleasant service. It felt like a little apartment instead of a room. Love the complimentary evening happy hour and morning breakfasts. All of the staff are very friendly and accommodating.

The Lodge is peaceful and beautiful. Our room was amazing, large, comfortable, quiet, and we spent many hours relaxing in the huge spa tub. The staff is great. The only thing that was very noticeably sub-par was the breakfasts. An egg bake that was mostly soggy hash browns with no flavor. Two little, soggy pancakes. We ended up eating breakfasts in the nearby restaurants. A shame when everything else was so wonderful.

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, friendly and wonderful place to stay in Coronado, look no further. We stayed for two nights and had a great experience with the Staff and our accommodations. The breakfast was a prepared prefix and delicious each morning. You really cannot go wrong with the location as it is in a very quiet neighborhood just a block or so from the hustle and bustle of all the wonderful restaurants, shops and the Hotel Del. We highly recommend 1906 Lodge!

The 1906 Lodge is a treasure in Coronado. Located far enough away from the main beach and Hotel Del for a quiet and intimate experience, yet close enough to walk to the beach. ||The facilities are clean and well kept and my wife and I enjoyed our stay. The staff is friendly and helpful and there is a calm atmosphere that we enjoyed. ||We definitely plan on staying here again.
