Moved into and lived here a few weeks. Room smelled like raw sewage from the bathroom. Told Stacey the “owner”several times about the issue nothing was ever done. So called maintenance man apparently came in the room while I was not there and said oh it’s fine in here no smell at all. Went to my doctor a couple days ago and was told I have been exposed to hydrogen sulfide poisoning which come from backed up sewage. I moved out immediately after my doctor appointment. Talk about a slumlord

My experience was absolutely terrible they sent the police to escort myself and my three small babies off of the property because I was late on a payment after being there for over a month and not being late once. There's never anybody on the property to handle any problems hands on and on top of that the only person that they have doesn't even speak English. The owner and the management is very disrespectful and very cold-hearted. I would definitely not recommend staying here. Non-stop Wi-Fi issues Waters constantly ice cold, lots of roaches, and they complain about every little thump and noise that a person makes.

If you like BED BUGS, ROACHES, DRUG ADDICTS, AND A MANAGER AND HER HUSBAND WHO ARE NOT ONLY ALCOHOLICS BUT DRUG ADDICTS THEMSELVES AND NOT TO MENTION THE MANAGER IS A PSYCHO, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! my friend stayed here a couple of nights, one morning I was picking him up for work and saw a bed bug on the sheets, we brought the bug himself to the managers apartment door because she never leaves her room nor does any work there. The office downstairs looks almost staged, and is never used. She didn't look surprised at all, we asked for clear garbage bags to pack his belongings in and before going back downstairs we knocked on her door to let her know we would wait by the office for a refund. She opened the door screaming like a lunatic, when I asked why she was screaming she said "because we came at her sideways early in the morning " It was 9 a. m. On a Monday,, what time does she wake up to manage this place ! I calmly said we would wait downstairs for her to get dressed, her husband John came from a back room with a beer in his hand and said you need to close the door, so she slammed it in our faces. We waited on the porch for a half an hour for her to get a refund and she never came down. We went back upstairs and she was in the room my friend had rented, she was making the bed back up with the same sheets not even new clean ones. I had recorded this entire conversation because of how she had acted previous, she screamed again calling us names and accusing my friend of smoking in the room, which he doesn't even smoke, she then ran up on me got in my face right up to my phone gave the camera the finger and smiled a toothless smile into it, I repeatedly asked her to back away from me which she did not. We asked for the refund repeatedly and that's when she told us to get out, we went downstairs and called the police but she had already and they came and she still refused to give a refund! It's horrible who the owners have let run this place! And what they have turned such an historic place into! They need to get rid of current management, and all the drug addicts that LIVE there, replace all furniture, tent the entire property, and turn this back into the beautiful historical place it is!!!!

This place is the worst place you can stay at they got bed bugs roaches no staff got old men that walk around the place naked not a good place to have kids at all drugs being used right in the parking lot plz stay way from this place if you have kids

BEDBUGS!!! Absolutely horrible experience, woke up with bites all over me. Confirmed with the old manager that it's been infested for quite some time (they tried to blame it on a guy coming from another hotel). Dont care where they came from, we got stuck with it! No wonder with all old nasty furniture. Had to throw out all our suitcases and go to the doctor. We left and went to another hotel after having to wash & dry all our clothes twice. Forget the roaches (which are all over the place too), it's the bed bugs you gotta worry about. Instead of spending money on horrible pesto pismal pink paint, perhaps they should spend money on a fumigation tent! Oh, and no cable???

They take credit cards but you have to pay them for a portal which they give you a website because they're located out of Tampa. They don't accept cash but the owner won't let you get mail here so I was waiting on my new bank card and she didn't want to wait. So she asked me if I could get someone to take me to the bank and get cash I said well I have to see if Miss Jane could take me. Which she did but I don't want to include her in the middle of this mess because God is my witness and everyone around here she definitely does not know how to run a business. So let's give her a lie detector test. She takes his families to court things that haven't been repaired in the rooms like your deadbolt lock, and her taking that $400 cash which never got posted in the portal from her and she had her employees going to rooms and take the TV out cutting the cord but they haven't had cable or Wi-Fi here for 4 months took the microwave out and then wanted the refrigerator out so we shut the refrigerator out in the hall here when they left. It set there for 24 hours or longer so we brought it back in the room. There are people that stay here that are handicapped and disabled on oxygen there are families here that have children they go to school this is no way to run a business and I think that's all I have to say

I was very disappointed in my stay at the 1876 Heritage Inn. There were cockroaches in the bathroom which retreated into the floor, and cockroaches in the sleeping area. The pillows were quite old and lumpy. The worst was the cigarette smell which wafted in the room from the outside. The porch which wraps around the building is dotted with chairs & tables. Each table has an ash tray which is full of cigarettes. There appear to be people who live there, and they smoke quite a lot. The interior of the room was painted and decorated quite nicely, however the floorboards under the air conditioner were water-damaged. The Inn is elevated, so you walk up steps or a ramp to the first floor. Both the steps and the ramp are badly in need of refinishing and repainting. I was escorted to my room by the manager after checking in. I realized then I really didn't want to bring much into the room, as it had an off scent. Their website states they clean the rooms, but "time has its own fragrance". I've been in buildings much older than this one, & experienced the fragrance of time in a well-maintained historic building. This was not it. I realized after I left the next morning that the room smelled of cigarettes. I had to wash everything I brought into the room, including my purse. I use a c-pap, and had to change to a new hose as soon as I got home. If you, like me, are a non-smoker, do not stay here. If you are concerned about bringing cockroaches home with you, do not stay here. This is definitely not a 3-star hotel. I've stayed in 3-star hotels. Believe me when I tell you, this doesn't come close to a 2-star hotel. Maybe 1 star. Maybe. Whoever rated this hotel needs to do a return visit and readjust the rating.

Horrible place to stay I don't recommend anyone to stay here the management is horrible. Management says on thing and does another and I'm pregnant and they threw me out into the cold weather so all they care is about money they don't care about you at all. So ABSOLUTELY DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE UNTIL MANAGEMENT IS CHANGED.
