1842 Inn - Bed & breakfast in Macon - 353 College St, USA

We quite enjoyed our stay at the 1842 Inn. We’ve stayed in Macon a few times before in Marriott franchises. My husband chose this for this trip and we were both very pleased with the experience. It was actually a great place for our two little children as well, the rooms were clean and the grounds were fun for them to explore. Breakfast outside was perfect. We loved everything about our stay. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay memorable.

Don’t be boring!!! You can stay at some standard hotel off the interstate anytime… or have a little adventure. We always try to stay somewhere unique in our travels and this was a great place. Magnificent home converted to an inn. I can’t say it’s “luxury” like some reviewers, it is old (a little worn) still kinda the point. Nice breakfast on the gorgeous porch patio and enjoyed the cocktail hour in the parlor.

We loved everything about our stay here. The inn is beautiful with multiple parlors, two covered porches, and a lovely courtyard- plenty of places for our family to get together and hang out. They serve delicious complimentary hors d'oeuvres in the evening and they have the best breakfast options of any place I've stayed. The bacon in particular was cooked just right. We were all pleased with the comfort of the beds and both rooms were very clean. We did not hear any noise coming from any other guest rooms. The service is also outstanding- Gloria and JoAnn went out of their way to take care of us; we had such a nice time chatting with JoAnn that we were reluctant to leave on Sunday morning. We are already planning another family visit for the fall.

I stayed at the 1842 Inn for one night on my recent trip to GA. What a lovely place to stay. The building is stunning and my room (Dogwood) was very nice with a beautiful iron bed. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfy so I slept great! The staff was so helpful with anything I needed or had questions about and my breakfast the next morning was amazing! I recommend the French Toast! Unfortunately I got there a little late in the evening so I didnt get to experience the complimentary hors d’ oeuvres but Im sure they would have been good too. If I ever make it back to Macon I will for sure stay again. I loved everything about the stay and wish I could have stayed longer.

We stayed in the main house, upstairs, in the Macon suite. Room was nice and cool. No real street noise, fresh flowers in the room, very clean. Bathroom is a little dated, but functions well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Owen enjoyed the many period antiques and adornments.|Happy hour on the massive porch from 5 to 6 was great hospitality. The bar was well stocked, and the nibbles were freshly made. We appreciated this before heading to the Macon Bacon baseball game, which was a hoot.|The breakfast was limited but made to order, and was delicious. Bacon was perfect as was the coffee.|The neighborhood is ripe with beautiful historic homes. We did a short walk after breakfast creating our own mini tour and enjoyed the opulence of the area.|Would stay again.

This is a nice B&B with real friendly staff. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We had a cottage room and it was nice adn quiet. The breakfast in the morning was very nice. A good place to relax and recharge. In a nice area of Macon, near downtown.

Excellent! EJ, Gloria, and the rest of the staff were amazing! So kind and hospitable. Great location! Close to downtown and other Macon historical sites. I will make it a point to stay here again. Oh… and breakfast is served to you at whatever location you desire at the inn… and it’s great!
