14 West Boutique Hotel - Hotel in Laguna Beach - 696 S Coast Hwy, USA

I added the most disgusting comforter in all hotels I’ve ever been in to. As shown in the picture, I specifically put that first so it’s the first photo everyone sees. This motel will charge for parking per night, maid service, miscellaneous unknown fees and make sure that the room quote is the same as the actual charges. The carpets in this hotel are super unsanitary I suggest if you still h ch pose to stay at any of their properties that you don’t sit on the carpet or walk bare foot, that includes the shower. This hotel will charge for everything and I have to say and my opinion, not worthy. This place, I don’t know how it passed the safety code but it did. Next time I come to Laguna and I want to stay, I’d go somewhere else?!,pay extra?!, or drive a little farther from the beach or find a bed and breakfast, at least the bed and breakfast , you can rest assure that it’s clean and comes with clean breakfast. Oh this hotel offered food in the lobby , I think it’s supposed to be breakfast but when I saw it, I wouldn’t touch it. Go to the moulin bake shoppe instead. The word boutique is a trick and a yukky lie, it should be called hourly motel, YUKKKKK. Poopoo on comforter and they don’t change the sheets, yukkkkkk. When I told the front desk about it, he just responded, “oh , I’m sorry about that.” I should have my lawyer talk to these guys cuz this is misleading service and accommodation. The maid service charge is bull, the rooms smell like sewer. I can’t wait to see my bill, just in case they add something they didn’t tell me about and I can take class action lawsuit at this motel. I’d like to give this place one leg of a star please. They quoted me 300 a night but end up billing me for almost 500 a night with the extra miscellaneous items

A little threadbare to rate 5 stars, the 14 West excels at service and kitsch. We rented beach chairs and an umbrella for a nominal fee (and I likewise bought Board Shorts at the Surf Shop across the street, because I forgot my swimsuit) and spent an idyllic afternoon on Laguna Beach (less than a block away :)

This was formally Holiday Inn and has not been updated in years. Felt like a Motel 6. We booked in thru AirBNB, very Disappointed. Nothing Luxurious about this place. There are 2 locations the newer units North (New) & South (Holiday Inn). Make sure you request the North Building. The location is perfect to walk across the street the the beach & downtown. The pool is not heated. Location, Location!

Overall the experience could not be better. I have stayed in a number of places in Laguna and the Holiday Inn has been an excellent stay for the last 6days thru New Years. The location is perfect, right across from the beach and shops all over. The front desk staff is super helpful and efficient. Extending my stay during this busy time was no issue. Rooms are good and the bedding and towels all feel like they are new. I have already booked another week mid January and glad to make this my go to hotel while in Laguna. Again thanks for the great work from the front staff.

Great location and very friendly customer service. Staff was very helpful upon check in. Hotel is a bit dated yet clean & comfy. Such a charming setting with the rooms surrounding the pool & courtyard. We didn’t hear street noise. Walking distance to many restaurants or take the trolley! Good winter rates.

My only complaint is the price but laguna hotels are expensive regardless! I spent 177 a night. Charming place. I like the open concept with the pool in the center. The pool is warm and salt water. Nice seating area around it. Lobby was filled with coffee all the time. Rooms were nice and clean. Ours did not have a moldy smell as others complained. We were on the first floor. No elevator so we had to lug my 50 pound bag up and down the stairs. Room is a good size and we had a king bed. Carpet needs replacing and some of the wallpaper was chipping. Though it felt very homey. And its in an excellent location. 5 min walk to laguna beach and main area. There are trolley stops along the main road too. I will def stay here again. Wish they had a hot tub! They could easily add one in where the gazebo is. Also the fitness room needs a make over.

Holiday Inn is my favorite hotel. We travel a lot and I've never found a hotel with such comfortable pillows and beds. We ordered Takeout and the delivery guy left it at the front desk instead of bringing it to our door or texting us. The front staff brought it right down to us. Very nice! A change machine would be nice for laundry! But overall we like this hotel. It's really cute outside as well. The gazebo is a nice touch

Our stay at this charming quaint inn was wonderful! They have exceptional staff! Rooms were nice and clean! The bathroom offering a wonderful jacuzzi! The rooms circle a courtyard with beautiful flowers and palm trees offering minimal shade😉 the water was warm and wonderful!
