I love this place. The woman who is here is always cheery. I really like this place more than the Chinese spots right by me but this is still really close. I especially like that the pork is always soft! Not the little tiny little hard pieces that are barely there you get from other places. The pieces are bigger and more abundant in rice and noodle dishes. Boneless spare ribs are amazing IMO my husband thinks they need more sauce but I'm sure they would add it if you ask. I really like the orange chicken and crab ragoons. The dumplings are OK but my 2yo loves them and he gets that not me so. Also they always get my order correct meanwhile I know I adjust things in an annoying way. Thank you!
Small place but really good food! Wait wasn't too long. You can sit in and take out, but they don't allow outside food but that isn't an issue. It's also a lot of food for your money, not too expensive. I got the Shangri-La style noodles (these are spicy), pan fried dumplings, an herbal tea, and a soy egg, absolutely delicious.
Oh my god this food is busting. Schrumplish, yum yum I ate that up. It’s authentic (trust I am adain) and get the Dan Dan Mian it is so good. I busted
I am so impressed with this place. I was not expecting to be this pleasantly surprised at all. We took out from here for a family gettogether so I got to see and try a lot of different dishes and it was one after another huge hit!
I ordered the roast pork over noodles. The dish was super clean, authentic and simple (and I mean that in the best way). The quality of the pork was noticeable just by looking at it. Broth, noodles (for sure home made, you could see and taste that immediately too), bok choy, roast pork. It was a 10/10.
The Szechuan wontons are a must get. They have a nice kick to them, but I will never ever not order them moving forward.
Wifey got the Pad Thai, she's a fanatic and a harsh critic of pad Thai, she loved 1089 Noodle House's.
Most others in my family got very typical Chinese takeout dishes (Beef and Broccoli, Chicken and Broccoli, General Tso's) so I got to do some sampling. All fantastic. Needless to say, my biggest regret is not trying this place sooner. 1089 Noodle House will for sure be my go to from this point on.
I ordered orange chicken combo with white rice it came with an egg roll. The orange chicken is over cooked. The egg roll that came with it taste like it was frozen and not fresh, not good.

Lunch Special: Eggplant with Garlic Sauce + Choice of soup
Eggplant came out great! Note that this may not be vegetarian due to the fired rice (had egg in it). Rice was a bit greasy, and there was a bit too much rice for me personally.
Lunch Special: Sesame Chicken + Choice of soup
Standard Americanized Chinese food. Again, the rice was a greasy, and there was far more rice than ideal.
Wonton Soup:
Pretty good soup. Broth was good, wontons were good.
Appetizer: Scallion Pancakes
Okay serving size for the price. Definitely recommend the sauce- the pancakes are a bit bland otherwise. Pancakes looked to be fried as well, and were crisp.
They also had Ramune available, which is always nice
It doesn't taste that good. I ordered kung pao chicken, it taste nothing like king pao chicken, it just chicken, zucchini, and some peanuts. It's more like an American styled Chinese food. Also, everything taste salty. The soup is salty, the fried rice is salty, and the meat is salty.
Good Chinese for a normal fare. Really enjoyed the LARGE shrimp with lobster sauce.
Although you can dine in the place, I'd recommend just getting take-out.
Btw, they are closing for the summer in a few days....6/19/23.

Great theater. The sound was good. But it's a little tricky to find. There are no signs in the Stony Brook college. We kept going around in a circle until we asked someone.
Quiet. Peaceful. Free parking.
I love bringing my family here year round. The shoreline has gentle waves and the beach itself is peppered with an assortment of different colored rocks. My kids love walking the beach in search of a new beautiful rock
I absolutely loved my dining experience! In fact, it was so good I came back two days later. I thoroughly enjoyed the mango salad, Pho Ga (with grilled chicken) and the coconut pudding! The service was quick and servers were polite. Price was just ri
Very nice, elegant new place in the old Pentimento space. The food is pricey so be prepared. Three course meal is $79 and it's a good amount of food. You can order a la carte and try to save a few bucks as well. Three meals might be too much for some
