We asked for a non-smoking pet room, and that's what we got! Our dog received a warm welcome and even treats. Yes, it's true, the outside does not look terribly inviting, but inside is a whole different story! The room was clean and the decor lovely. The tile floor was a bit cold, and I would ask for more rugs if we were going to stay more than one night. The reception and breakfast area is more than inviting. Warm cookies were waiting for us upon registration and the lady in the office was absolutely delightful and very helpful. We had a very small issue in our room, but she fixed it immediately. We asked for extra coffee for the room coffee maker and we got it right away.||We had reserved parking right outside our door ~ very convenient. But there also is an interior corridor so we stayed warm walking to the office and to breakfast.||Breakfast was delicious! A large array of fruits, juices and cheeses was waiting for us in the morning. Bisquits and gravy were really tasty. Real dishes, flatware and stemware were available. It felt more like a B&B than a motel. We have stayed here before, and we definitely will plan to stay here again.
Negatives: To book a room we had to ask the gardener to point us to private quarters where the (strange and, frankly, unwelcoming) receptionist could be found. At first we got a room with a broken toilet, an array of mystery stains covering the carpets and walls, a fridge that leaked water on our shoes, and a broken/duct taped window. When we switched rooms, the TV wasn't working, though that was later fixed by the receptionist. Breakfast left much to be desired. The building is old and could clearly use some renovation, and a musky, dusty smell seemed to follow everywhere you went within the confines of the hotel. It's located in a more sketchy area of town.||||Positives: The decor had a fun, vintage, homely feel, and the glass (rather than plastic) dishes were a welcome surprise. Bathroom was small but nice. Spacious parking lot. Price was fine.||||Our stay would maybe have been tolerable if it weren't for the staff; we left as quickly as we could. An overall negative experience, we definitely won't be returning.
Dickinson was the end of our trail ride, and the Oasis Inn was so welcoming. The owner came out to greet us as soon as he saw our bicycles in the parking lot. He made us fresh squeezed orange juice, and told us about the nearby sights while we relaxed in the courtyard area by the front door. This is not your chain hotel/motel, and the architecture is reminiscent of Route 66 icons. All the same, our room was spacious, we could easily fit our bicycles in it, free breakfast and free movies. I would recommend this motel to any cyclists traveling the Northern Tier route and/or the Lewis & Clark Trail.
Great centrally located hotel that reminds me of a B&B with very friendly staff that goes out of it's way to make your stay pleasant. The room was clean and spacious with lots of North Dakota charm. Seems to me that they have been making lots of upgrades including a recently completed BBQ area that looks amazing...can't wait to use it next time we stay! With their reasonable prices and excellent amenities we will be back.
This hotel is literally right on one of the main streets in town, a lot of traffic and very noisy. The whole hotel is completely run down, all of the wooden windows are rotten, the one in our room would not even close all of the way because the crank handle was rotted off. The carpet on the stairs was worn really bad. There was a broken window at the end of the hallway, still had the broken glass in it. There were no bars of soap or shampoo in the room; they had liquid soap dispensers hanging on the walls instead. The curtains were so thin there was no way they could block out any of the light from the street at night. The place was so dingy looking I skipped taking a shower which I usually do every morning. There is no one in the office in the evening; they have a phone number posted to call if there's an emergency. We didn't even stay for the breakfast in the morning they didn't serve till 7am, but we couldn't wait to get out of there. We tried one of the cookies when we checked in and even they were not that good. I don't know about these other peoples reviews but I am being very honest, see my photos. This place should be condemned.
our floors were tiled and thats even going into the bathroom, it was cool and quiet all night. we stayed for four nights and had breakfast every morning. super nice people and staff. nice parking lot, was a little hard getting out to the street but it was a main street for the town. i will definitely stay again
The people are really nice, the room clean and well equipped and the very reasonable rate included a nice breakfast. I would recommend this to anybody. |We were traveling on two bicycles, and were encouraged to keep them in the room, which had plenty of space. A really pleasant experience.
The place looked iffy when I arrived but the lobby is warm and inviting, clean with friendly staff. Paint on the outside window frames and doors and sweeping the parking lot would really make a difference. The rooms are very big. Mine (107) has tile floor, well decorated, nice furniture, outside and inside entrance. Would stay here again. About 40 to 50 dollars cheaper than other places in town. Prices are a bit higher due to it being an oil town. Room has soap dispensers rather than bar soap and shampoo.
If you are young or old, fit or just wanting to start working out...this gym is for you. I got a personal trainer, Ana, because this was my first gym experience and I didn't know what I was doing at all. Ana made sure my expectations were reasonable.
Very friendly service and great food. The spring rolls were amazing - the peanut dipping sauce was perfect...! The Pho was also fantastic.. no option for grilled pork in the Bun and no Bahn Mi sandwiches on the small menu. Highly recommended for s
Driving across the country and we were thrilled to find this gem of a business. The staff were incredibly friendly & kind, running a menu out to our car so we could take a look before placing our order. Our window server greeted us with big smiles wh
I really enjoyed my meal here! I ordered a cheeseburger salad, and it was so delicious! I didn't even need to add the ranch, but I sampled it and it was homemade and nice and creamy! Our waitress was so nice and polite! I loved all the artwork hangin

Back in 2019 in route to Glacier National Park saw signage for the Enchanted Highway. Things like this are the reason I drive vs flying, to the main attraction. You can enjoy the unique things you find along your trip. It may have taken me a distanc
I got married last fall, and we booked a room block at the Hawthorn. Kim and her team were phenomenal to work with! We had our rehearsal dinner there, and our wedding party all got ready there the morning of the wedding. Kim even hooked us up with a
