I actually travelled in January 2019 and have forgotten to write a review.||For those on a budget, you will get the basics plus they do offer a decent breakfast each morning with hot and cold options. I remember one morning being encouraged by one of the cooks to go and eat downstairs. There have been some negative reviews of the buffet which I've read, but did not seem to encounter it at the time e.g. full tables.||It is a short walk to 21 St - Queensbridge subway station (few minutes) but a little further away is the Queensbrough Plaza Station (About 10 minutes). That should give you easy access to Midtown and Downtown Manhattan.||One weakness was the wifi network which was slow and lagging at times.||Note that the area is a predominantly residential neighbourhood with a lot of public housing. Also there is alot of development occuring with former industrial sites are being redeveloped into hotel and apartment/condo blocks which should mean in the future better services etc for tourists staying in the area. There are limited options for dining etc in walking distance of the hotel, but restaurants and cafes in the area e.g. Astoria will deliver right to the door of your room. in the foyer, there are menus etc for some of those that deliver and yes their recommendations proved to be good in the end. Around two blocks away is a laundromat that will wash your clothes for cheap. Staff tend to be Spanish speaking but don't let that be a problem because they cleaned my clothes well. ||||If you are a person that needs fanciness, this hotel will not be for you. No-frills travellers and those on a budget will be happy. Staff generally were good and provided standard service.

I stayed here 6 nights sharing the room with two friends. The position is practical as it's pretty close to the metro (F). You can arrive in Manhattan easily. Decently clean room. The surrounding area is not properly amazing, but unless you're looking for a fancy holiday this is a good compromise. Also, breakfast was a good point as it allowed to save quite a few money. No problems with check in/out.|I'd return!

Bon hôtel situé à seulement quelques kilomètres du centre de Manhattan. La chambre est spacieuse avec un grand lit. Tout l'équipement est fonctionnel. Léger bémol, j'ai trouvé la chambre peu insonorisé (on entend les voisins). De plus, au moment où nous y avons séjourné, l'immeuble d'en face été en construction, donc si vous n'êtes pas matinaux, le bruit du chantier d'en face peu en gêner certains. Sinon l'ensemble de l'équipement de la chambre est fonctionnel. La salle de bain avec baignoire est très propre, avec serviettes et fournitures de toilette tous les jours.||||Pour le petit déjeuner, c'est un petit buffet qui vous attend de 7h à 10h tous les matins, Choix assez restreint, surtout pour le bon français qui n'y trouvera pas ses croissants du matin mais uniquement des céréales, pain de mie à griller et gaufres accompagné du jus d'orange pour le côté sucré.||||Personnel de l'hôtel agréable.||||Enfin, gros plus pour sa localisation. Nous avons choisi cet hôtel car pas trop cher et SURTOUT situé non loin de Manhattan et nous n'avons pas été déçu. Même si le quartier peu vous faire reculer (ça ressemble plus ou moins à une banlieue mais nous n'avons personnellement pas été effrayé même en arrivant le premier soir vers 1h du matin et en rentrant jusqu'à 3h du matin pour certains soir), vous serez situé à moins de 5 minutes à pied de la station de métro de Queensbridge (située sur la ligne F) et à 15 minutes à pied maximum de Queensboro Plaza (ligne 7, E et N notamment). Depuis Queensbridge, vous êtes à 2 stations de métro de Lexington Avenue début de Manhattan et seulement 4 stations de Rockfeller Center. Si vous arrivez de JFK, vous serez à environ 45mins/1h de l'hôtel en passant par l'Air Train jusqu'à Jamaica puis la E par exemple jusqu'à Queensboro Plaza. Et bonne nouvelle, le métro à New York circule 7j/7 et 24h/24.||||J'attribue donc 4/5 à cet hôtel qui présente un excellent rapport qualité/prix (le dernier point retiré pour l'isolation entre chambres et peut être le petit-déjeuner manquant de choix pour certains).

Although, the hotel was not in the nicest area in New York. It was not as bad as others made it seem. The rooms are updated, but extremely small. This was not a big deal, being that we spent more time out and about than in the room. We walked around just about everywhere in the area and no one bothered us at all. We even walked from the sub station to and from the hotel with our luggage. The breakfast was decent and doable.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 days. First view of hotel & area is not so appealing but we liked our room it was new decor & updated, quiet. Short walk to the subway had easy stops to the center of Manhattan. People were very nice at the corner store & we felt safe walking day & night. Hotel offers a better breakfast than most.......eggs, hash browns, bacon or ham……………decent price through Wyndham rewards. BUT (always a but) they get you on the parking, $25 per day, we started at the Outer Banks NC so we had our bikes on a rack & needed the secure parking. Overall a great experience in New York 👍🏼

Nice hotel. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was average nothing fancy. The hotel is not far from manhattan. Subway station is 2 blocks away which gets to core downtown in 10-15 minutes. Neighborhood is a bit shady.

Hotel très bien situé, à 1mn de la ligne de métro F qui dessert la plupart des points d'intérêt. Station accessible avec poussette.Quartier populaire mais safe, aucun soucis ns etions 2 femmes avec enfants.||Chambre familiale 2 lits doubles très confortables, avec de nombreux rangement et spacieuse, idéal avec les enfants, salle de bain avec baignoire, tout est conforme aux photos! Les chambres sont trés propres, ménage fait chaque jour, produits de toilette, serviettes, remplacés tous les jours et café et thé remis à disposition aussi dans la chambre. Petit déjeuner simple mais efficace: gauffres faites maison, pain blanc, complet, bagels, saucisse, oeufs brouillés, pomme de terre, cereales, lait café thé et jus de fruits. Il y a de quoi se restaurer dans le quartier et un supermarket pour acheter fruits et boissons.||Je recommande vivement cet hotel pour son rapport qualité prix, sa situation et les prestations proposées, le personnel est egalement très sympa.

The hotel was very quiet which was actually great, the bed how ever was hard and not soft. Decor was nice and updated. Cleanliness I'd rate at a 3.5. It wasn't dirty by any means but the bathroom door and a section of our ceiling were unfinished.
