Zostel Rishikesh (Tapovan) - Backpacker Hostel in Rishikesh - Dehradun, India

My experience at Rishikesh was impeccable. The view and the staff made sure I had the best time here. It's an amazing property with beautiful views. Please maintain the property well. Add room fresheners everywhere. Clean the tables after every use. Fix the Elevator asap. The location is up the hill with narrow lane.

It's one of the finest hostels I have stayed in Rishikesh. The staff is very cooperative and polite. Rooms and washroom are clean and their in-house cafe actually has good food and is quite reasonable. Just make sure that the parking they have is first come first serve basis so you might have to come bit early else you will have to park on a private parking lot which is about 500-600 m from the hostel.

Zostel rishikesh is a top-notch place with amazing service, an awe-inspiring view, and everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. From the moment you arrive, the friendly and helpful staff will go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. The place is clean and well-maintained, and the rooms are comfortable and secure. The common areas are spacious and inviting, and the rooftop terrace offers stunning views of the city. In addition to the great service and amenities, zostel is also located in a central location, close to all the main attractions . The zostel location is amazing, it is windy throughout the day. The rooms are comfortable too however it needs to be maintained properly. Our door dint have a lock or handle, the screws were visible which could potentially hurt. While checking out, there was a cockroach on our bed. The rooms are clean however it needs to be maintained better.

Please save your hard earned money and book any of the other two zostels that are there in Rishikesh, they are far more better than this one, first of all the zostel is very old (the condition of the rooms and the building speaks for the fact) the rooms are dirty and dainty, the beddings re dirty, second of all the location is very bad, you will have to climb a very stinky and dirty road, plus if you are coming by car, the road is almost inaccessible for four wheelers, even if you manage to reach there the parking is full most of the time, coming to the other issue is the staff and the host which is not at all friendly forget about hospitality, we booked a room for four people and during the duration we had to ask for basic amenities like soap, towels and by asking i mean we had to beg for it. The wifi does not work most of the time and the taps are runny. Unclean washrooms. Coming to the crown the good crowd for sure will be going to the other two zostels in Rishikesh, i had a overall terrible experience at this place. Not worth the money they ask for. I have Visited the other two zostels, even if you do want to stay here don't waste your money on zostel instead book other properties nearby, there are just a bunch of cafes here which you can visit while roaming in Rishikesh. I do not find many genuine reviews here, save your money.

The staff was fairly good but everyone looked exhausted most of the time. The place could have been a little more lively. The cleanliness of the entire place was v bad, when asked about it they said that it they said that because it's fully booked it's difficult to keep the place clean as people were not being responsible for their own mess which is totally understandable but the flush and other things in the community washroom were broken and the community room was dirty. If they have problem with the guest they should have strict rules. The food at the cafe was good, but i didn't enjoy the crowd, people were smoking and drinking in open. Smoking and drinking should be given a separate space away from the actual cafeteria, which is doable as they have a lot of space on the roof top. Overall it was good cleanliness was the main issue for me. Thank you:)
