The staff and the location of the hostel were amazing! You will be able to spend a wonderful time and enjoy the most beautiful sunsets. However, the cleanliness of the hostel leaves a lot to be desired. Common areas have unclean pillows and furniture covers, and bathrooms have not been thoroughly cleaned to the point you can see mold and calcium buildup. The manager is very interested in selling his self-run camel safari, which feels like a weird scheme but is definitely worth doing. If you are willing to overlook these things, you should be up for a great stay as the place and location are beautiful.
One needs to walk 10 minutes from the fort's entrance to this place as cars are NOT allowed inside the fort. In this age and time, and at the price one pays for the private rooms, it's highly disappointing to see that the management does not care about hygiene at all. The cafe had a rat roaming around while we were having our lunch there and the cafe manager didnt seem bothered at all. We stayed in the deluxe room. The bathroom's sink was the size of a small bowl and was not suitable to use as all the water spills down, the sink's drainage pipe was hanging above the ground and all the water was leaking out, the commode has dirty stains and is very dirty looking, the bathroom tiles and drainage were dirty and water was getting clogged, there was an old bucket to have bath which was also not cleaned since ages, the entire room stank of drainage so much so that one couldnt sleep peacefully. We could not shower the second day simply because of the disgusting situation which gave us nausea. Paying 3k per night was a waste. One can enjoy the views from the fort from many other rooftop places on the fort and does not need to stay here for that. Please check the bathroom photos carefully before booking. Will not recommend this place to anyone as nothing justifies the filth and unhygienic conditions at this place.
I bet you will watch the best sunset in the entire Jaisalmer from the balcony of the Zostel which is located inside the majestic Jaisalmer fort. The view is simply breathtaking. Food is also good and priced reasonably. The staff is super supportive and knowledgeable. Loved the experience. Every need was taken care of by Narendar, who helped in all aspects for a new traveler to the city. We hope to come back again in the future.

Wonderful stay... Never thought one can stay inside a fort With view from the balcony is worth the stay... Staffs are cool and understandable. Luxury stay makes yourself to feel like a royal human. Must say budget friendly too

The location of Zostel Jaisalmer was ideal to explore the fort. The beds were also very comfortable and well equipped hostel with well maintained facilities and a beautiful view point of the whole city. The Zostel Sam Sand dunes package was an amazing experience that I would recommend to all guests. With a very well organized set of activities. Much appreciation to Someshbhai and his team at the facility to organize the activities. Even the food was delicious, especially the Poha during breakfast whose taste I'm never going to forget (11/10 would recommend) The only drawback would be that the bathroom in my dorm in Zostel Jaisalmer was pretty dirty when I arrived but was cleaned to a great detail when some guests from abroad arrived on my last day (13 Nov). Also, my soap was thrown away during the cleaning which was also straight away replaced by the staff. It would be appreciated to have clean bathrooms for everyone and not for only specific guests. It would be great to have a fixed cleaning schedule that all guests will have to abide by and allow the staff to clean as well. Other than that, staff was very courteous and helpful in both locations and overall a great experience.
It Is located inside jaisalmer fort,excellent atmosphere,super friendly and helping staff,one of the best views.only disadvantage is the remote location.You have to carry your luggage walking a long distance and during day time there is no rickshaw allowed inside so try checking in late evening to avail rickshaw facility.Food was quite good and all lot of options were available.
