Our experience at zostel cheog was amazing. A true respite from the hustle and bustle of the fast paced city life. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the warm welcome we received from Ritu ji, the host. The property was incredibly beautiful, and it had a calming effect on us as soon as we stepped in. The highlight of our stay was interacting with the wonderful cows, 2 dogs and the family of the helper who was the caretaker. It was heartwarming to see the love and care that the owner Ritu ji imparted to them, and we enjoyed observing them as they roamed around the property. The milk, cheese and butter used in cooking was freshly prepared and added authenticity to the flavour of food. Cheog was an amazing experience that we will cherish for a long time. We could not have asked for a better place to stay, and we would highly recommend your property to anyone seeking a peaceful and serene vacation in the Himalayas.

Location of the property is quite good you can always plan your weekend getaways to soothe your mind from corporate world stress to -- destress your mind food is also great you will home cooked food veg/non veg. But there is fireplace in the room and you have to pay 300Rs for bonfire which lasts up to 1 hour so basically this is the hidden cost which is not mentioned while booking your stay. Overall it's the perfect property during winters

Zostel Homes Cheog is now became one of the go-to places in this region. The hosts & staffs are super friendly. Good Part: The host will treat you as their guest. We were stuck in the snow they arranged for a 4x4 car from our location to stay. Food is also an amazing option. The best one is the view of course if its a snowfall then its the cherry on the cake. Bad Part: It is a bit far from Shimla. If a traveller is using a normal car in a snowfall gonna coast bit extra to get a 4x4 car. Cheog is a small village near shimla and is known for apple orchards and surrounded by majestic cedar forests. A great hideout for people in love with Mother Nature. You will surely feel that you have transported yourself a few decades back in time. The village has many homestays where you can surely unwind and experience life in a Himalyan village with all necessary amenities. Based on the reviews, I choose Zostel Homes Homestay in Cheog and enjoyed great hospitality and the best Shahi Paneer of my life. The host, Mrs. Ritu Thakur, and her daughter are expert cooks of local delicacies, so don't forget to try some while you're there! Zostel Homes Cheog is surrounded by apple orchards, which will definitely look more beautiful in apple season. With spacious wooden rooms and rustic facework, it is a traditional Himachali home with all modern amenities looking out at the majestic mountain range. You can surely chase one of the best sunrises from its terrace early in the morning and do some stargazing at night.

A little away from all the city rush, it's a treat in paradise. The view from the room is beautiful, great space and all the amenities (basic) are provided. There is a helper (Arjun) who cooked great meal and was home like. Would love to visit again. Also, you can find a mechanic, grocery store next to this stop.

Location : The zostel is right in the centre of the Cheog town, easy to reach and navigate Rooms: Room was pretty alright, well furnished, clean and spacious. The view for the room with fireplace was bleh. Service staff : Arjun was excellent and really pleasent to deal with. The dogs were great company too. Food: While the food was great in taste, the bill was a shock. It's way too much and we are handicapped coz there are no restaurants nearby. Kind of ruined the whole experience for me. Zostel: I wouldn't really call it a zostel experience, it was just a homestay. The living room was quite small and the vibe was missing. Plus, it's not like the pictures anymore, two building have sprung up adjacent to it, which ruins the whole atmosphere.

The place is a cozy stay away from all the hustle. The valley view is just amazing at night from the room. Rooms are clean and amazing. Homely food, price also worth for the food. Courteous and helpful staff. Overall a big thumbs up. Must visit.
