Zostel Gokarna - Backpacker Hostel in Gokarna - Uttara Kannada, India

Pros: Cleanliness is top-notch. Lovely view from the clifftop. Comfortable stay. Polite staffs. Loved the idea of having a common room. Cons: Access to the location (but they do have direct autos and proper pathway to reach the hostel from gokarna town). It's worth the hike/ride.

Loved the stays. Room were pretty great with an amazing view. Only problem was food since it was a bit expensive and wayy too big portion size to end up in waste. You might want to go for other food places. Service was quite nice and quite hygienic. Live music shows added some music to the night. Location is just above Gokarna beach so you can go even in night. A bit of mismanagement in terms of hikes/activities planned for the day as told in morning. Fortunately had own itinerary for the same. Loved the vibe especially on Diwali and people were quite chill and easy to gel with.

Excellent location, very near to beach and gokarna temple. Safe parking. Good, clean rooms. A good, well loaded, sea facing cafe. And they arrange treks, walks, sea volleyball and other activities. All n all a good, cheerful, young and safe place.

I had an amazing experience with Zostel Gokarna! Stayed in a 6 bed female dorm which were really clean. Deeksha makes sure that most of the evenings and mornings are vibrant with activities like the beach trek, sunset walk, frisbee and volleyball by the beach! Also they guided me for the local festivals and how to go around Gokarna and other nearby places. Highly recommend for a perfect blend of relaxation and fun.

The stay was absolutely amazing! From smooth check in and check out to cleanliness and vibes. The entire team did a great job! The view from the lobby was also amazing with sliding seats. I stayed at a 6 bed dormitory and have no complaints about anything specific. They also allow you to stay at the common area if you reach early or have a late ride post checkout!

If you have ever been here, you would already know that Zostel is hands down the best property in the whole of Gokarna. It doesn't matter what you are looking for, you have reached the right place. Do you want solitude? Or make new friends and have fun? You have reached the right place. This was my third visit to Gokarna and second to Zostel. I'll make this easier for you. Location and Accessibility : Walkable distance from the Gokarna bus stand. Situated right on top of the Gokarna main beach which ensures the most beautiful sunset view everyday from the lounge. Service : Top notch service. Impeccable and prompt service extended by the whole team of Zostel. They have got community room, common washrooms and shower rooms that you can use even after checkout. The community manager, Diksha is ever ready to take you out on games, sunset walks and the ever famous beach trek. The social media manager MO is the absolute best. The camaraderie among the team is really heart warming. Rooms : Ditch your usual vision of dorms when you get here. Really sturdy beds with ample lighting, storage, AC, neat washrooms and separate handwash area in each rooms serves us perfectly. Food : The adjacent Mantra Cafe in itself is a whole different league. The food is Yum and the vibe is irreplaceable. This is one place you would always want to come back to. And now it makes sense why all those people cried as they left the other day.

Had a great time in Zostel Gokarna. The facility is good and the staff is cooperative. The only issue faced was that the dorm beds were shaking when I tried to get in upper bed, it would have been great if the beds were drilled to wall for support or had some other form of support.
