It covers an area of 625 acres (253 ha). It is situated in Visakhapatnam amidst the scenic Eastern Ghats of India. It is surrounded by the Eastern Ghats on three sides and Bay of Bengal on the fourth side. Nearly eighty species of animals numbering to about eight hundred are present in the zoo.
This beach is just opposite of Visakhapatnam zoo... It is not much crowded and not that much attractive...

The beach located exactly to the opposite of zoo back gate. Offers beautiful views with undulating sand dunes and Ipomea blossoms, the beach is less crowded and safe to play. Parking fee will be collected by the zoo authority and Sunrise can be enjoyed here with family.
