the Danish-Halle Mission in Tranquebar (founded in 1706) and which is still alive today. The encounters between the Halle missionaries and Tamil society in South India created a common heritage, which, in addition to some architectural testimonies in South India, has been handed down through extensive written and also figurative sources.
Ziegenbalg ( 1682 - 1719 ) was a multifaceted towering personality who has left a deep mark in the history of the region. The printing press is undoubtedly the best and most enduring legacy he left in India .( The Press is the poster for his bungalow) It is wonderful that his house is being maintained as an excellent museum and memorial to him . A must visit for all history enthusiasts.
A place with a lot of historical evidence and some great preservation of the first print machine which was invested to print the holy Bible. People with interest on history would definately like that. They cost some where around Rs100 for 10 people group. But if it's an individual, it costs Rs20 per head. They have some great people who are really eager to explain and demonstrate how the old print machine works. They have some collection of dress and books in the 1st floor. Overall it might excite someone who are inclined to history.
Praise the Lord to give me an opportunity to visit the place of Rev. Ziegenbalg who was the man translated & printed Tamil Bible during 17th century. Because of this we are chosen by the Lord. Our entire society also improved.

Very old temple, temple structure is new, but the moolavar , ambal statues are very old. Lot of stories are behind in this temple. There is no proper maintenance, providing importance to Dutch fort only. Very beautiful sea view from this temple. Try
We contacted them via phone. They responded well and quickly. The beach house is more of a cottage or home than a resort. It's fitted in between nature. The beach view rooms, the birds, the amenities, and the service were all amazing. Food is provide
The property is well maintained, first line in front of the sea, great food and service. Surprised that this property is not booked completely all the time. I have stayed here before 2016 and now again in 2023.
Tharangambadi is a beautiful place to visit when in Karaikal. It was once a Danish colony and now, the rich heritage is still maintained. This town gate marks the entry to the once Danish colony. The architecture of the gate itself was super cool! W
I am so privileged to see another historical church and preach the word if God to a group of pastors in this church. This church had the baptism of first five protestant baptisms in entire India. Also it is the church that hosted the first initiation
Thanga House is a multilayered experience of finesse, great architecture and little things that spell attention to detail. Located on Goldsmith Street, the place has a historical ring to it with the added sound of the waves lapping nearby. Every corn
