I'v given a 3 star because of the owner. The owner need to be a little polite with the customer. Otherwise the food & the service deserves a better rating.
Most wrost Biriyani ever i eat.....Biriyani rice so hard and mutton also not cooked properly. the shop owner behavior was very bad. He pretend like customer take free food from his shop.
Zafran Biriyani Hut is a mughlai cuisine restaurant serving wide variety of foods. I had their mutton biriyani, naan, chicken bharta and kadhai chicken. Biriyani is not upto the mark. It seems they use dalda and the mutton pieces get harder with time. Mutton was full of bones and the essence of Gulab jal and kewra was over-the-top. Rest was delicious, I won't lie. Sitting area is a bit congested. Behaviour of the staffs is good. But the owner, my god! Full of rudeness and attitude.
Overall quality has drastically dropped, my last experience of having biryani was not so good, rotten smell from potatoes, chicken pieces are smaller than other luxury restaurants out side comparing to the price. Don't know what happened to this restaurant 1-2 yrs above experience was so good for me, don't know why the quality of the food is so badly dropped.

When it was new the quality and quantity was good. It tastes very nice. But now it's famous Everyone knows the name but other things taste quality quantity all gone.
I had a lot of tasty biriyanis in Siliguri and this wasn't one of them. Ordered the mutton biriyani to-go. Rice was extremely dry and lacked flavor. The mutton piece had no meat and all bones. It was a bit on the sweeter side, definitely not what you would expect from a place which is always crowded. Not worth the money and a lot of scope for improvement.
Brought chicken biryani and chicken kosha from this place. As I am a vegetarian, can't tell you about the taste. Since I saw my sister eating. I can definitely tell you that it tasted pretty good.
