The name Zaffargad doesn't suits to it. It's real name is Velupu konda. It's very beautiful village with best sceneries. Lord Narasimha stays there.

This fort build by zaafarkhan in 11AD century.this fort has temple name called Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy with three beautiful ponds for devootees.This temple runs on only shravana telugu naadam and every Saturday is open for mountain climb for God dharshanam This mountain climbing is very hard and also beautiful adventures for trekking and you see middle of the mountain sited for phirangis and top of the hill ancient rajmahal with sculpture of Mughals architecture

Best place for trekking near warangal. It is located at 40 KM from Warangal and 14 KM from Ghanpur. There is a temple on top of the fort for Laxmi Narasimha Swamy and a pond attached to the temple. The trekking level is considered to be moderate and difficult. There are arrow marks in order to guide the people so that they won't lost in hill. I personally enjoyed it very much and recommend everyone to visit atleast once. Preferable day is Saturday that too in the month of August ( Shravanamasam ) because there had been rumours that bears are roaming on the hill. So better to visit with a group of people.
