One of the best sunset points I have ever seen, very easy 1 hr trek to the top around 3 km, forest guard will charge 100 per person. Make sure you climb down before dark.

Z viewpoint is an extraordinary place where you can get wonderful views of western Ghats. The peak appears to be in a Z shape and due to that it is famous as Z Point. The cool breeze and stunning beauty amidst lush greenery attract thousands of tourists. Trek is the only way to reach the top of the peak. It is one of the shortest treks in Karnataka with stunning views of the valley and western ghat mountains

Amazing trekking experience with friends . The overall trekking distance is 3+3 = 6Kms. We entered at 6.30am and left at 9.30am after taking bunch of photos. It is very worth and easy trek , even family and kids can also enjoy the trek with breathtaking view of mountains on the way and at the end. we can find small water falls on the way it is known as Shanthi falls, where we can have short bath as well. we need to carry dresses with us. Right time to visit is 6-9 for chillness , good pics and avoid sunlight.

The entry is at a walkable distance from our room. The entry pass was rupee 100/ person. It took us 1.5 hr of easy-level trek to reach the endpoint. In places, the path is narrow and muddy. We have seen the Shanthi waterfall on the way. At a point just before the endpoint, the wind was so high that we felt like flying. At times the wind was strong enough to make people fall to the ground. The view was beautiful throughout and was terrific at the end. The cloud flowing from one side of the hill to the other was getting stopped by the hill and rolling over to the other side. The heavy wind made it tough to stand there, and that was an experience! It took us more than 3hr in total to return to the entry point. There is no drinking water or food option after the entry point, so carry your own. Better to have raincoats than an umbrella if you are going in the rain due to the wind. Though our 5yr old managed to complete the trek by herself, I would not suggest it for any kid younger than that or to aged people. The path was muddy and had leeches throughout.

The most beautiful and adventurous trek that I have ever done. The pathway was not great but it was one hell of a feeling to be on the top of the peak. It took 2 hours to reach the peak with a falls on the way called "Shanti falls". Also, it's recommended to start the trek before 2PM as it would take a long time and get dark before we get down. Beware of leeches, there are a lot so wearing shoes are recommended and carry many water bottles as chances of getting dehydrated are high.

We have to walk around 2.8km to reach the top of hill. The 360 degree view is surprise. In the midway small waterfall is there and that makes more beautiful sight. But don't wait anywhere more than a minute, because the place is full of leech

Beautiful and picturesque trail that takes about 45 minutes to go up and is relatively easy with some slightly steep slopes nearing end that you can crawl down. The trail is 3km to the peak going through the forest up till a small waterfall 1.5km into the trail, after which you reach grassland. The waterfall midway was particularly refreshing after coming back through the blazing sun. Note to carry hats, and bring your own water bottle as single use plastics are not allowed into the trail. Wearing grippy shoes is a must as there is plenty of mud and slippery rocks in the trail. The ideal months to visit this trail would be from late monsoon (september) through early spring (march), if visiting during the monsoon season beware of leeches and do carry dettol with you. The enforcement on prohibiting bringing single use plastics into the trail was a welcome surprise, circumventing the fate of many such places becoming littering spots. Overall, a good clean trail that is worth setting aside ~2-2.5 hours in your schedule

A small waterfall on the trail towards Z point . The fall is great during monsoon which becomes an obstacle on the way . People usually take a break and enjoy a quick bath in the natural water. But is also dangerous since there is no barricade on the
