Wonderful experience. Well equipped ground. Good management. Price was INR 500 for room and INR 220 for a bed. At that prices the facility was great. INR 90 per meal.

Kalatop wild life reserve stretches between Dalhousie and Chamba sweeping across Lakarmandi, Kalatop, Dainkund and Khajjiar on the way. Ascending from a height of 2440m, the sanctuary has a beautiful terrain, typical of outer Himalayas. A long level walk from Dalhousie to Khajjiar gives us the best of panoramic vistas this wonderful place have in store for us. The flora and fauna of the region is best appreciated by walk rather than drive. The lonely path often treading into the dense woods of pines and cedars livened by the singing birds, is a trek worth taking and will remain a favorite for regular trekkers and honeymooners.
The Hostel is at a walking distance from the Bus stand and is located in a prime location. The view from the balcony is just amazing. It's a hostel so they have certain guidelines which the guests should adhere to. Delicious food is served in the mess and rooms are clean and neat. It is very pocket friendly.
We brought 55 students of our campus for a survey camp here. They were very well accommodated. The food was too good. Behaviour of the manager and other people working there, was also polite. Overall a lovely experience.
Most beautiful experience I have visited this hostel two times for 3 days. It was an amazing experience staying there . Hostel staff is polite and cooperative . They provide delicious and simple food like home . You feel home like feeling there. I would like to go there again.... Youth hostel Dalhousie mainly know for winter treaking which is nearly 85 km from pathankot ,generally the treaking is for 5-6 days which include first day acclimatization treaking of nearly 10 km next three days main treaking took place and on the last day they will bring back to the base camp to Dalhousie. If I will talk about amenities the hostel consists of a 3 floor building a kitchen and dining hall single and double beds are there in each room ,each room is equipped with an attached bathroom and two common bathroom is there each one for Male and female ,but some geyser are not functioning even the commode of ground floor are not In proper condition. Here food is nice with good calories intake .
