YoMad - Backpacker Hostel in Amritsar - Amritsar, India

We had such an amazing time at Yomad. It became the highlight of our trip to Amritsar. The peaceful vibes, the good food, the whole atmosphere was really soothing. Vikram was a great host (and cook)!! We preferred staying and eating in rather go out because we felt at peace at Yomad. Would highly recommend staying here if you ever have a chance to visit Amritsar!

The place of stay was good. Bunk beds were clean and basic amenities were provided. But with the almost nil hospitality and cold vibes of the hosts were are quite disappointed. Otherwise the decor of the place is good. We had booked the place after reading the reviews which said the term 'great hospitality'. Disappointing!!

Priyanka and Vikram are two truly special individuals who run one of the loveliest hostels/homestays I've ever come across. Me and my friend had 5 weeks of constant travelling and used this place to take a break and relax. Sadly my friend got ill during their stay, and our lovely hosts took care of her and made us feel so at home. Once we left we really missed this place due to how comfortable it felt, like we found our own little home in the craziness that is Amritsar. It had was instruments and games in the common room, and our hosts cooked up some lovely home made dishes. Its a little bit further out the city but honestly, i preferred spending time here x Thanks so much guys and i really hope to come by again at some point, you have something amazing there!

Highly recommend to stay at Yomad! Vikram and Priyanka are the most hospitable and kind people. YoMad really felt as home and we ended up staying for a week The vibe in the hostel is amazing and cosy. It is super clean, quiet and has a beautiful roofterrace. Vikram also gives lovely yoga classes and Priyanka's chai is to die for So without doubt, if you want to experience the real Amritsar with a chill vibe, 100% book a stay at YoMad!

Lovely hostel in Amritsar with amazing hosts. Priyanka is a great cook and if you are lucky Vikram will even give some yoga classes. Must stay if you go to Amritsar!

Awesome place with some different and loving vibes. The hosts Vikram & Priyanka are very nice & helpfull. Vikram is awesome Yoga trainer n he took yoga sessions. Priyanka is an awesome designer and she made interior of this property so buityfull that you cant resist to have picks with their paintings n DIY artifacts.

Best Unique Comfortable and Accessible Hostel in Amritsar What I liked about YoMad: Everything! but most particularly the Location: It is located about 5km away from the City Center / Golden Temple. Away from all the hustle of the city. YoMad is located perfectly well for those who want to experience a quite, peaceful yet connected place in Amritsar. Service: Vikram and Priyanka are the best hosts / founders of YoMad. They will make sure you feel comfortable staying there. On request they will even arrange a quaint personalized farm visit. Vikram also runs his Yoga Center by the name Yash - Yoga, one can even experience Yoga sessions and Sound Therepy here. The place is aesthetically pleasing, super clean and the hygiene is well maintained. The best part about living hostels is that you get meet a lot of new people, learn from their stories and make new friends. Staying at YoMad was a crazy experience for me. I hope this review helps fellow solo travellers as well.
