I think I should start by saying that the intentions are well-placed. As is the case with most properties run by young men who ran hostels before, felt jaded, and dreamt of a utopia of their own. The "ashram" looks like it had good days. The owner, Hemant, is kind and wants you to have a good time. He went out of his way to drop me a km away, as I am a single traveler with no transportation. The following section will make it clear why he is failing. I love it when hotels explain away cockroaches and rats with "it's just nature". Yes, so was the plague, sir. If you're sending nature to my room, I honestly would rather have gazelles and butterflies. I had the fortune of swathing a flying cockroach at night. I didn't make a fuss; chalked it up to a zany adventure. In the morning I found something rumbling under my backpack and to the horror of both me and the rat, it was a rat (and I human). It's suffice to say I threw a fit that I would have later felt ashamed of if they hadn't served me water in a glass with a tiny hair floating on top. The karma had been restored, I left feeling zero guilt.
The room of this hotel is average. The behaviour of staff is good.
Though it's not so good, but looking at the budget, it's quite ok. Bathroom could have been cleaner. The property is good but not maintained. Appears owner is not interested in running the business. Otherwise, with few improvements, this hotel can get higher prices for the stay as the property is good, but there is no staff, only one or two guys are there, who are quite polite and helpful, but they leave at 10 pm. Room service is very limited. Room is spacious enough with balcony. Anyways, for such low budget, it's a good deal.
I don't think there are enough stars I can give for my experience at Yogi Ashram Guest House. A perfect place to be away from the city noise. Beautiful rooms and the best part, they are super affordable. And the cherry on the top, the management...trust me when I say I have stayed in tons of hotels all over the country but the hospitality was incomparable to anything I have ever experienced. If you are going to Khajuraho, I strongly recommend you to stay at Yogi Ashram Guest House. You can thank me later
Magnificent, it was one of our best hotel stays in India! They organized to have us picked up from the train station when we arrived very early in the morning, and let us check in right away. We had a wonderful deluxe room with a balcony, overlooking the huge lush garden. The room itself, and property are very clean and quiet, situated in the middle of nature, so it has breathtaking views of beautiful landscapes and exotic birds. The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly, really sweet and kind people, we really appreciated their service! We at at the hotel restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during our stay several nights, and the food was always fresh and delicious! Attended a yoga session that was very interesting and invigorating! I'm still very much looking forward to having some recommendations on books, from my instructor that evening, to continue in my research on spirituality, consciousness, and philosophy. Hope to receive them soon! Highly recommend this place for anyone interested in a peaceful, nature loving, environment! Namaste
price is reasonable for room and rooms are good enough. But as it's a guest house no room service or such things are offered. Has staff of 2 multitasker boys from bell boy to cleaner to kitchen chef. Kitchen and parking need to be in improved. Rest I will stay there again.
We had a wonderful experience at the yogi ashram. Rooms were clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean and hygienic. Every staff member we encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! Highly recommended.
