Yogg Hostel - Backpacker Hostel in Varanasi - Varanasi, India

This hostel is nice, I chose private room. Building is old but what else you want from Banaras! The Rajeev and Rohit both are nice. They have amazing terrace where me and my friends enjoyed the river view and cool breeze at night. Adding some pictures. Yes it is far from main market but you are here to explore banaras ki galliyan then no harm. Overall it was a great stay for me.

The hostel is very close to dashashwamedh ghat and Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The view from the top of the hostel is amazing. The staff was friendly and supportive. They don't offer food so you have to manage that but you will get a lot of options nearby. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Decent place . As its a budget hostel , dont expect too much facilities. Roof top has very nice views. Decent rooms , toilet was not clean .

Not a good experience . The only good thing about this hostel was you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Ganga River from the terrace. Other than that it was very bad.

We were very unhappy with our stay at yogg. We stayed 3 nights and asked to extend to a 4th night giving three days notice. This was confirmed by the manager. Then the morning of our original check out date he told us that the room had been booked and we had to leave within 90 minutes. There was no recognition of their error, just excuses about the owner not owning a phone. We were granted early check in after a night bus but were checked into a dirty room that had not been cleaned after the previous occupants. We had to ask 3 times for the room to be cleaned. However after this the house keeping was sufficient. There is no common room as per the photos so therefore no hostel atmosphere. The aircon turned off 3-4 times a day for 20-90 minutes. One night a young boy who seemed to work there banged on our door at 9pm when we were in bed and took our aircon remote and never returned it. The manager was however helpful in giving us tips on Varanasi and organised a great sunrise boat tour for us. But overall a very disappointing stay.

Hotel is nice, located nearby to Dashashwamedh Ghat and Baba Vishwanath Temple, Assi ghat is 1.8 kms only. Godowlia chowk is 1.2kms. Vishwanath Lane is nearby. Use ola bike and Rapido for travel, Autos are not allowed in most of Varanasi. Bedding was good, two shower and two toilets were provided for 8 bed bunk. Geyser etc was working fine. Locker was provided with locks and keys. Good Place to stay if you just want a place to sleep at night, bachelor, solo traveller.

Stayed here for one night. Location is great, only 50 metres away from Pandey Ghat. View from the terrace is great.

Location is ok. 50 meters from Ganga and about 15 minutes from Dashvaswamedh Ghat. But according to the room rate, the room is not quite right. Washrooms are disgustingly unclean and smelly. The bathroom in the general compartment of the train is cleaner than that. 6 or more bunk beds in very small rooms. There is no place to stand properly. Staff are friendly. But you have to wait for a long time to get the service. I know it's a hostel. It is not possible to get comfort like a hotel here. But still basic hygiene can at least be maintained and expected. I will never go near yoga hostel again in my life. Very bad experience. I got sick after coming home from this trip due to poor hygiene.
