I always thought yoga is about doing poses and never concerned about the breathing techniques associated with that, which also effects our health. My association with Yoga for the past few years is quite deep as I work as a trainer for 'restorative yoga' in South Africa. I'm a person of Indian origin and still rooted to the basics of my culture. Due to this linguistic and cultural advantage, it always helped me to understand and explore the technical aspect of yoga much deeper; in turn making me more curious to learn the intricacies. I was already amazed to see the healing power of yoga and felt I should start exploring this subject more deeper. I met Subham'ji of Yoga Tirtha through a common yoga forum. Heard from others, in his studio, he practices certain rare techniques like enhancing prana flow through Asana and Pranayama, explore Pratyahara, Dharana & Dhyana through different guided sessions. I decided to explore these areas as it's always recommended in books and yogic text to practice them but rarely practiced nowadays. Connected Subham'ji over the phone, he recommended me to do Yoga first for a few months to have a subtle pranic balance. I connected Online and started my journey. Though there was a time difference between South Africa and India, investing that time was worth it. Within a few months of practice, I started feeling a huge difference in my physical and mental state. Started incorporating the practice with my practitioners as well, the result was amazing. Since I already had a substantial experience in Yoga, my growth was quite fast in this journey, prana got balanced. Eventually I joined the MMSM (Meditation Mindfulness and Stress Management) session where they exclusively work on different styles to enhance mental health, make mind more one pointed, induce more relaxation in a day to day life, teach how to practice let go attitude in every difficult situation. It's been almost a year, I'm having this association with Yoga Tirtha and I eagerly wait every week to experience that peace after every session, offload the unnecessary baggage of thoughts. Below are the points which I personally felt after attending continuous Yoga sessions for 2 months 1. Subham had made my mind work so slow which in-turn resulted in BOOSTING my performance at work and have a proper work life balance. 2. Definitely YOGA is NOT about Bending and Stretching of Body (bending stretching we can learn from Internet), but YOGA is about how we control and manage ourself which is the very basic human instinct which already phased out due to modern life style. 3. When there is a problem, either we will try to solve completely or skip it, sometimes both are not possible, Yoga helped me to balance the problems that I have in my Life personally and professionally. I joined Yoga expecting, I can become very slim and more flexible, later realised that Yoga is not about slim and flexibility, and understood it is far away more than that. We cannot understand Yoga unless we learn and experience under a proper guidance at-least for a certain period of time with a proper consistency. Final Summary: ABCDY - Any Body Can Do Yoga YOGA is about how to BALANCE our life and NOT to just solve a particular body related problems. YOGA is about CONSISTENCY, not about INTENSITY. YOGA is not just a part of life, YOGA is life. All these I learned from Subham (YOGA TIRTHA). Thank you for teaching the right Yoga which helped my life to have a proper balance.
I have been doing yoga for some time now I have noticed profound change in some areas of my life. 1. Anxiousness which was clearly visible in face and voice now it drastically came down. 2. Desperation about the result all the time but now more relaxed and just enjoying the work process. 3. Loop of negative thoughts fighting with them but now i am able to break them and understand them instead of fighting. 4. Feeling heaviness in my head and chest by afternoon everyday because of negative thoughts these things are gone now. 5. Reactive person who can easily be provoked and gets angry but now in such times without reacting i try to understand the situation and act accordingly. 6. I used forget what happened 1hr back because lot of things going on my mind but now this is also changing Thank you subham sir for your attention to details, wonderful guidance and for teaching 'there is no next, it is a lie all i have is now. so focus on now' it helped me a lot in overcoming anxiety and desperation. I really appreciate for the time you gave me apart from yoga sessions to understand and guiding towards right thought process for difficulties i was facing in my thought process as well
Dada ha deep knowledge about meditation and yoga. He is also very caring and pays individual attention to each student. I would definitely recommend him and his yoga and meditation courses to everyone be it a beginner or an experienced person. I am glad I joined YOGA TIRTHA online session, it has been a great journey. I would like to share my personal experience here, I had health issues before joining here. after few months of yoga practice, i can say my issues are almost balanced. I see myself being more energetic than before. The sessions here are mostly customized practices, which is more focused on the person's health. Friday sessions are on "Meditation Mindfulness and stress management session" they are my personal favorite, it helps you to connect ourselves and it is more relaxing.
I was a prominent football player during my 20s and 30s and always maintained a slim body structure even after leading a sedentary lifestyle for past 12 years, hence i was under the impression that i am quite healthy. Reality hit me after i joined Yoga Tirtha via their online session. I joined Yoga Tirtha as they were referred by one of my well wishers. To revalidate, i went through their reviews find lot of people have revered Yoga Tirtha's body of work with a optimistic view & benefit of health, practitioners are enjoying in long run. As my Yoga journey started, i rediscovered a new me with lot of challenges and areas to work upon. I realised that i find it difficult even to sit in Malasana properly, neither was i able to raise or stretch my arms as it pained nor could I bend and touch my toe fingers. I could feel the stiffness in my body, there was no flexibility and balance, something i used to be proud about me earlier. It was hard for me to accept the ground reality initially, but my heartfelt thanks and immense gratitude to Shubham sir under whom I slowly started regaining my flexibility and body balance. His perseverance and minute observations of body movement on how the asana need to be done is impeccable. His experience and knowledge in this field is so vast that he can assess the pain points in the body of a practitioner just by watching the way the asana is done. Beside that, for minor health ailemts , specially during weather change like cold and cough, mild fever etc he would guide the interested practitioners with ayurveda based home remedies which would help to regain the balance within short period. Infact would like to share a personal story here, once due to excessive work pressure and lack of sleep, i started experiencing high BP for a temporary phase and doctor suggested may have to go for medication in long run. However with yoga and home based remedies it got under control within a month or so. I consider myself blessed for being a part of Yoga Tirtha and for showing me the correct perspective about health and fitness. With months of practice, i have felt, Yoga is lifelong journey and walking the path made me understood it's deep value in everyday life. Wish and pray, i remain healthy, happy and peaceful ever with guidance of Yoga Tirtha.
