Yercaud Hideaway Resort - Hotel in Yercaud - Salem, India

Waste of money. Horrible stay. Do not recommend for families.We thought we can spend a great time here as there is forest view, but reality is there is a forest inside each room, you will be sharing your room with forest lizard, spider, scorpion and so many bugs and insects. We didn't sleep for the whole night due to these creatures. Even though we can't avoid these creatures outside of rooms, as this hotel is located near forest, atleast they can make proper closing in main door which would have avoided them entering into room which was not done. Rooms are untidy too.Finally we ended up in staying in a standard room after booking deluxe room(so called forest view). Our neighbourhood rooms are booked by some bachelors who were smoking & drinking alcohol and they were sitting in balcony which is not private, so I strongly do not recommend this hotel for family. Finally, management is trying to increase the rating by fake reviews and comments, don't fall in this trap. See the reviewers, think and act wisely. I can't give 0 star, had to give 1 star rating.

Nice place to spend a weekend. Walking distance from Main Yercaud Market but it's nestled at a very quite place. Have ample parking space and sitting area in the terrace. However, I guess they don't allow unmarried couple. Please check with them before booking the property. Ground Floor Rooms are quite well maintained.

*NEVER visit this stupid place.. NEVER...... Believe me !!!! Read ALL the reviews you will understand.* Photos and amenities shown in online photos are opposite to reality. I am kind of person who can manage in any place but this one was utter disaster. The most unhygienic rooms i have visited. Spiders, scorpion, snail, mosquito all you can see inside room. (Self captured pictures attached). It was my blunder i didn't check the reviews before i booked this. There is NO ELECTRICITY in this hotel. They don't run their generator. Same thing is mentioned in all the reviews. No Drinking water, no tea coffee , no breakfast lunch dinner... Nothing !!!!! They just have dirty and smelling rooms. Receptionist (name Anwar) has no common sense. They will change the old smelling bed sheets for new guests ONLY if guest asks. Will give liquidators, soaps, towels, Water ONLY if you ask. If you don't you don't get anything. Ask that why you are not running generator - be ready for the lame answers with his stupid smile. I blame myself equally, i was so stupid to book this place without reading any reviews. People leave their homes and come to have some good time from their schedules. But places like hideaway resort are just to spoil the vacation.

This property is located just 5 mins away from the city center, but still inbetween an estate which feels like staying within the forest. looking at the photos thought it was far but it is actually not The view from the rooms are mad, had a crazy stay with my family, would seriously recommend this resort that too at a affordable price. will surely visit the place again and recommend others as well

Rooms are neat, but poor room service and tasteless food served as home food is unbearable. You won't even get hot water on time, all unskilled people employed as cheap labourers. And moreover half the time power failure and generator usage is limited to save diesel cost. And they ask you to pay the full amount of the stay forehand. Good for couple, not advisable for large groups or family with children.

Oh Gosh, we just can't explain enough. Mr Anwar who is pathetic guy to manage the small dirty resort. First of all the hotel is not worth it. It should more than 50 years old building a square plot with 6-8 rooms.We booked the hotel through MakeMyTrip trip round 6 pm on June 10th planning to stay at Yercaud for 2 day. And then we called the owner Vishwesh to inform that we will reach at 12 am and so surprisingly he asks my wife if she is married married directly. Not sure about his hospitality etiquettes. We managed to reach the property around 1240 am . The so called manager didn't even help to pick up the luggage from the car and he mentions that we bothered him because we made wait so late in the night Then started a new story he asked for our marriage photos and marriage certificate to get inside and check in and raise his voice. A typical argument Fight with him for next 2 ok. Finally my wife decided to call 100 and get the police as we had our pet with us and we want to explain to him and then police arrives at 230 am and makes him understand and allow us to check in and he denies to check in even after police confirmation and finally we left and stayed at GRT Great Trails Yercaud . Never trust this stay they are cheap and has no hospitality sense a he complains to police personnel that I asked for a beer as soon as I reached. I have to mention Police personal We're ru kind.

Hotel staff is very good and polite. And area is also good. Rooms are OK. Can't expect much with this price. Food in the hotel is good. Bathroom is good. Small sit out available for the rooms in the ground floor. Environment is good. But be prepared for the mosquito bites.

Pretty isolated and they walls of the rooms are not insulted well. It gets pretty cold in the night. Plus they don't have food facilities. They do cook for you but thats very bad. Not advisable for families. But bachelors can have a good time given the isolated location.
