The beautiful interior and the quality of the rooms rivals most 5-star hotels while maintaining a cozy, homely atmosphere. The owner goes out of his way to make you feel welcome: waited for us even though we arrived very late, gives instructions to drivers, personally prepares a delicious breakfast (even went out shopping to get some vegan options). Highly recommended!
They say home is where the heart is. If so, then this lil quaint place has my heart <3 My stay was perfect! It was my first-ever trip to Kolkata and my stay with 5/4 is definitely the highlight. I would agree it's a bit difficult to find as it's not right on the main road, but what you should know is Rupesh will message you the details you would need to get to this place and if still lost, Munna da is your man. He will send you assistance only to realize it's just a walk away from the main road. Situated at Ballygunge, I found it super convenient to get around and so many eateries and shopping places and even a few landmarks around me. The place does have its wear and tear but it just adds to its rustic charm. We met some amazing people staying there as well. Breakfast is my most looked-forward-to meal where people you don't know become friends over a tea or coffee etc. It was definitely an experience. Cleanliness, you don't have room service like all hotels but request for a cleaning and they will do it very well. Food - If you really want some home-cooked Bengali food, Munna da is an amazing cook just as good as a host he is,you must try his cooking at least a meal. Well-spoken and well read and hence a non- bangla and non-Hindi speaking me found it easy to talk and seek assistance.
The only con I could find was the location but hey I had a concierge :P so who is complaining? Definitely stay here and I definitely would for all my visits to Kolkata if I am blessed with one :)

Couldn't have been better.The house was very clean & was equipped with everything we needed to feel at home, and was an easy walk to all the sites we wanted to see. Communication was great too. We would highly recommend this wonderful Air b&b ! Would definitely stay here again!
This is my second time staying at Yellowbrick and it was even better this time, as I encouraged my friends to stay along with me! Everyone LOVED it! The decor, hospitality, cleanliness, ease and comfort! This BnB has a unique charm and gravitational pull!
It is tucked away... but in a perfect way. Away from the busy street but still in a real part of Kolkata. Each room has its own personality and the terrace is such a pretty place to chill during the nights. Even the complimentary breakfast is delicious and catered to your fancies. We also got to have nice conversations with other guests in the common areas.
The owner and its staff made sure that our stay was a wonderful and memorable one! We will definitely choose this place every time we visit!

The rooms are very spacious and maintained high cleanliness standard. The service is also very good. More over the breakfast which is complementary is excellent.
The rooms were very clean. The common room and kitchen also seemed clean and well stocked. The location for me was good as I was traveling solo and had packed light, but the approach road is narrow so those with vehicles may have problems. In the room everything was available, having a electric kettle and some tea bags would have made the experience even awesome. Overall,
a nice place to stay right in the heart of kolkata if you want to explore while staying in the middle of the city. Would definitely like to visit next time.
It was lovely cozy place, especially in night the fairy lights all around the vintage building adds beauty. I had my small ceremony there at terrace.
Munna was the care taker who can cook amazing food for you guys. Overall good experience just it's inside narrow space hence no personalised parking space.
Had a pleasant stay with my family for almost a week. Food prepared by Munna da was awesome. Also, Sunil da and Shyam da were always available to help us and made sure our stay was comfortable. The property is very well maintained and I highly recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a safe and homely stay in Kolkata.
We had a very comfortable stay. The room we booked was very spacious. The location was perfect. Well connected with the locations we needed to travel to. The food they served (charged separately) was sumptuous and very tasty. It was home cooked food.
The deluxe rooms are superb. Spacious and thoughtfully equipped. Especially the interconnecting rooms are a great concept for those who want to book the entire floor and yet be connected while outside doors are closed.
