Well organised vaccine centre Staffs ,doctor explains everything about the procedures neatly.Only online card payment accepted and no cash payment available .There are lots of mosquitoes in the centre when we went in the morning and my hand got swollen by the mosquito bite .vaccination procedure took only a minute but the paper works took a couple of hours.Payment of 300/-per person is to be done to get vaccinated.The centre is easily visible by the roadside.Car parking is a bit difficult we have to park by the roadside only.Overall good experience.Thankyou

All you want to know This review also applies for Port Health Organisation which is separately spotted in Google maps. Both are one and the same. If you have had any immunization (even TT) within the last 30 days,you would not be considered fit to receive yellow fever vaccine. If you have consumed alcohol in the last 24 hours, you would not be considered fit to receive YFV. Be prepared not to smoke or consume alcohol for a week after vaccination. Regarding food there is no restriction, as long as they aren't allergic to you. If you had already taken YFV in this centre then inform them. They ask for your card. If lost, then they will try to find it from their records based on passport number and the date/year in which you have taken it. But it will take time. Injection is given in left upper arm, deltoid muscle region. So half sleeves is preferable. You can reach upto Chennai beach station by EMU trains and walk in 3 minutes to this place. Service available only on Mondays and wednesdays of the week. Working days as per Central Government calendar. Don't get worried by the old pics. The building has a new facelift and appears neat and clean. Staffs are kind and helpful. You would be surprised. You can enter your details in the register, which I saw had entries from morning 6.30. No dalal, No dadagiri. Its important that you must have had your breakfast before receiving vaccination. You can also enter your name in register and go for breakfast. The crowd is due to Seaman / Seawoman in this centre and rarely some travellers. Around 9.30 an officer along with his full team conducts a meeting with all people and explains about the procedure in Tamil and English. Registration for first time vaccination will close by 10 or 10.30 AM of the day. For only hindi people, they are called individually and explained at the end. They provide pad and pen to aid filling consent form. Don't forget to return them. Original passport must be carried along. Enter the form as how they appear in your passport, including signature. People are called as per the entry in register. However if you have a kid, then you will be called first. Bathrooms and toilets are available in the waiting area, which are neat. Another surprise for you. If you want Oral Polio Vaccine also, applicable for only people traveling to Pakistan, Afganistan, Syria, Somalaia, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Kenya and Cameroon then you need to first finish the procedure for YFV, and then start OPV procedure. If only OPV, then inform them in the starting itself. OPV with certificate is provided for free. Though the procedure for OPV starts slow, while taking YFV you are also provided with OPV. After injection DONOT rub the site. Just lightly press and hold for a minute or two with cotton provided and throw it in the designated dust bin ONLY. DONOT consume or drink anything even water for the next half an hour, when you have taken OPV. Overall it will take half a day. Be prepared not to plan anything for the day atleast till 12.30 to 1.00 PM. YFV is charged 300/- and OPV is free as on Dec 2019. Not even a penny more. If you have your own mode of transport and not willing to wait for few hours, then go to Kings Institute by making online booking, which is available on Tuesdays and Fridays. Very good staffs and doctors friendly and clear explanation given before vaccination. Better reach early arount 8am to 9 am for risk of missing slots. As the vaccinatio is very limited only.

Especially i am seafarer so i need for these for seafarer dont forget to carry ur passport , CDC and ,vaccination certificate soft copy is enough and carry SBI or HDFC atm card they accept these only no cash are taking so kindly dont forget this , yaa. Go by 0830 AM the person coming from tambaram and all train is available for beach station so once reached beach station take right walk 300m and crosse mmd next to mmd there will be port health orgnasiation and dont forget to carry pen

I have taken my yellow fever vaccination here today (11.12.19) the doctors are very friendly and the instructions, hospitality, courtesy shown by them is really impressive. Come to the center after having breakfast before 9.00am as the instructions starts from 9.00am and u can leave before 1.00pm. Don't worry if u come late, they will consider you.

The detailing before the intake of vaccination is great and the staffs are friendly. The booking can be done in online as well as offline.

Go only on Mondays and Wednesdays and book your slot online to prevent any hassle at site. Vaccination won't be administered unless there are a minimum of 5 people.
