I was a little bit hesitant at first, but I'm so glad wifey took me there! The fish are called Garra Rufa, and they're actually quite gentle. They nibble on your feet to eat away dead skin, and it feels really strange at first, but it's actually quite relaxing. 99 rupees for 10 minutes was a bit high, since we went on an odd day, we bargained and they obliged. You just put your feet in the water, and the fish start nibbling away. It's supposed to be good for your feet, and it definitely made mine feel softer. I was a little bit nervous about the fish biting me, but they didn't hurt at all. They just felt like little tickles. I was in the pool for about 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend trying a fish spa if you're looking for a unique and relaxing experience. It's a little bit weird at first, but try it for the experience. However, I do have some inhibitions about the pool being used by multiple folks and the morality of thinking that fish are kept hungry for them to nibble at your feet. I'm not sure how I feel about the idea of sharing a pool with other people's feet, and I also worry about the ethics of keeping fish hungry so that they'll nibble on people's feet. Despite these inhibitions, I walked out of the spa feeling guilt-free. The fish were well-cared for, and the spa had a strict policy about cleaning the pool between each customer. I also felt like the benefits of the fish spa outweighed any potential risks.
