Lovely experience of rock formation. It is so huge and experiencing it that near makes it one of the most memorable moments in the trip. Although you might have to be ready for a short hiking trip as it is literally in the forest. Monkeys are there and lagoons and they will torture you if any you feed any food to them. Please be careful not to feed any wild animals there. No network will be available. Be ready with cash for refreshments with some extra cost.

Visited Yana rocks on long weekend. One of the popular place to visit in Sirsi, Karnataka. It has 2 ways to reach at yana rocks parking from Sirsi. If you go through Devimane ghat, then you will see Yana Caves board on right side, then approx 16km you need to reach parking. But by this route, you have to walk more with some ascent and steps- approx 25-30 minutes to reach at the top. So, avoid this route if you don't want hike, you can go by another way from Sirsi, you will reach directly to top side parking. From there 10 min descending walk to reach the rock. Nice place to visit once. These are 2 massive rocks called Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and Mohini Shikhara as per history. There is a temple in which self manifasted Linga over which water drips from the roof. Place is surrounded by jungle, best time to visit post monsoon or during monsoon when rain is less.

Do visit one of the most unbelievable place . The big mountains are of volcanoes. Yana rocks is something different which is unusual rock formation in this area and very rare to see such thing in India.
Amazing place. A must visit if you are in this area. One thing is bad though u need to remove your shoes to go inside the caves as the path goes through the temple. The cave floor is not that clean almost muddy .
Extremely beautiful place for pilgrimage and trekkers alike. Eye catching rock formations ! One must first enter the Shiva temple and then proceed towards the caves , which is about a 90 steps climb. Caves are not that big , but definitely eye catching. The best way to visit this place from Gokarna is by taking the road towards Sirsi and coming to this place. Ask the locals for the route towards Sirsi and reach Yana caves , as you have much lesser walk towards the caves from this side. Also , you are much more closer to Vibhoothi falls. For some reason , Google maps only shows the route to Yana caves from Kumta side in the Devimane Ghat.
