I went here for lunch by myself over a week ago :) I had a good time - the staff were sweet and friendly! I had told them my coffee was sweet so they fixed it for me and nothing makes me happier than that! I have tried their desserts and icecream from before and they're nice but I was trying to eat healthy Also, it's easy on the pocket!
We generally have flamenkuchen, but this time, we had Ceasar salad, spaghetti aglio , hot chocolate and grilled panini. It was amazing
I'm a regular customer of writers cafe Taramani and I love the food there. Thought of trying Adyar branch once expected the same level but to my surprise it is below par. We dined there for dinner on a weekend and it is too bad experience for us. Firstly the dishes tasted like a local road side food. We tried soup, fried chicken, fish fingers, chicken wings, onion rings and bbq pizza. Only soup and pizza are slightly better and rest all we couldn't manage to finish at least half. And secondly it is under renovation and it also caused us slight discomfort. I recommend not to visit this branch.
Yesterday night visited writer's cafe was really a good one... While there food was good and the service of there team is more excellent keep up team... Tried few dishes like penne pink sauce pasta,chilli cheese fries, honey coriander chicken wings and the signature writer's cafe hot chocolate.. Best worth trying was there hot chocolate and honey coriander chicken wings... Both we're really good...
Nice place. Good options for food, beverages n ice cream. The cheese garlic bread is too yummy! One of the best I say! I tried the fudge brownie ice cream. It was good too. Very good service by the staff there especially Anshuman.
Had Cajun potato (very good quantity), mac n cheese (must try), paneer skewers were so soft... The hot chocolate was such a taste... Ambience is good and worth the time... Dint like the blueberry froyo though, too much milk taste & very less berry.. Also due to independence day, got a tricolor chocolate cake as a compliment, which tasted yummy too Service was excellent & quicker too..
A great place for great conversations! Not run of the mill menu items. Each of the options are unique. Great ambience. Smiling service. You are browse, read and but books here. Been here several times to the Adyar outlet. Today I ordered their signature Hot Chocolate - just amazing!! Easily the best i have had! Don't miss if you love Hot Chocolate!
