I have visited with family and spent good time over there. Vintage hotel with swimming pool. Kids enjoyed a lot in pool. Food is delicious like homely. Only cons is little bit far from main road/market. Hotel management can spend little bucks to decorate the hotel in night times as well as arrange some activities/music over there. but overall had a good stay.
We were a group of 10 including kids and stayed at Woodlands Matheran Resort for 3 days and 3 nights. We had a wonderful time at the resort and would definitely recommend it to others. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of Indian and international dishes to choose from. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Unni and Anu were particularly helpful and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. The manager, Thomas, was also a very kind and helpful person. He showed us places to visit in Matheran and gave us tips on how to make the most of our time there. If we are visiting Matheran again, we will not think about another resort. Woodlands Matheran Resort is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.
If you want peace, tranquility & good food in Matheran - this is the place to stay. Situated a little away from the market, this property is managed by really nice people. Rooms are decently sized & reasonably priced - definitely value for money. Perfect for families as it has play area for kids, badminton court for all & its spacious alleys allow relaxation as well. The people who provide room/kitchen service are also cordial and cooperative.
One of the best hotel to stay in Matheran. Away from market, quiet place, experience ethereal nature. Property is old but well maintained. Clean rooms, bedsheets and towels. Old TVs (no LCD/LED). It was not working as they did not recharge the subscription. I prefer this hotel over all other hotels in matheran because of the food quality. Pure vegetarian, excellent hygiene and taste. Even though I am non-vegetarian, eating vegetarian food at this hotel is an amazing experience. Manager and staff is polite and respectful. Rate fluctuates in different seasons, weekdays and weekends. Call directly to get best rates.
Amazing hotel option in Matheran in a very economical budget. Its one of the very few hotels which has all meals inclusive in room rent. Situated amidst the forests of Matheran and is a little away from the main market which provides you with a very serene and peaceful stay. Market is just a 15 mins walk. Best part is the delicious food which is unlimited and is home cooked food. No soda, food color, etc. Managed by Mr. Thomas since 35 years who is a gem of a person and will ensure your stay is pleasant.
