Woodlands Hotel - Hotel in Mangaluru - Dakshina Kannada, India

The room was a bit on the expensive side but it was located at a perfect place near the main highway on Mangalore. The room was fantastic, the bed wasn't too soft and springy like most hotels and the washroom was clean as well. The room gave nostalgic vibes, lots of parking space and decent food as well. The service was quick and the staff were very polite and humble.

Food is good but too oily. Most of my family members where worried if the oil is of good quality and how many times have they used it. Golibhaje is good, podi was very oily. Late evening you don't get hot snacks except dosa, as they stop cooking, you get whatever is left as they start cooking for dinner. Don't know anything about room's as never stayed.

I have been to the restaurant of this hotel. The coffee is quite good, and since it is the birthplace of goli-bajje, that too is very nice. Other things that can be tried are Pav-bhaji, and banana podi. Other snacks are available as well. One more good thing is that you can order in the comfort of your car and eat there if you don't wish to go out.

An very old Iconic Hotel, slowly loosing out on its glory.. maybe cause of lack of interest or might be because of over confidence. Had been to the restaurant couple of days before at around 11:30 am just to find out most of the food is not available as the lunch time is nearing, whatever was available didn't justify the quality. We ordered for Puri-Baji and Vada sambar the only two available food item available at that time as suggested by the waiter. The Puri was fine but the baji was not only sweet and already there was a weird smell and taste to the same. The Vada sambar was cold, we expected the Vada to be cold but unfortunately the sambar was also served cold not even warm. The only silver lining was the coffee and the tea which was served and the taste was as expected " it might have been only our experience at this restaurant" . This old Iconic Hotel needs to up their game and gear up to the current competition, the parking space available at this hotel is no match for any other hotels in Mangalore. They have every potential to retake the restaurant market again and rule it. I again reiterate that this Might be only our experience and many might have had good or great food experience here, maybe the timing of us reaching the hotel was not right. I visited this place twice this tine for dinner the previous day and for breakfast the next day. This place serves lunch, various rice items as well as tiffen items. Enjoyed what was served. They serve food for people sitting in parked cars too.

I don't know anything about the hotel. Got a parcel of fried rice which was tasty but costly because difficult to find veg restaurants in Mangalore. It looks funny, because even half of the Gobi in the street stalls were given parcels in the container but this big hotel was given in wrapped newspaper inside steel coated plastic paper. Food quality, quantity and taste super.

Old Hotel, stuck in time. Even though the hotel is valuable for money, it's primarily aimed at people who would like to stay here for convenience and short stay. There is no lift. The one good thing is that this is the only restaurant where the dosa and idli prices are reasonable.

You have good amount of parking space and golibaje and rava Masala is famous there. You will experience the retro feel while having your meals
