Wonder Woods Boutique Hotel by K S Group Of Hotels - Hotel in Darjeeling - Darjeeling, India

Recently we stayed at family room with two double bed. The room was extremely cold and very stuffy. The bedsheet and blanket were not hygienic. I think it can be done better by providing cleaner sheets and more blanket specially during winter season. No doubt the staff were very polite and helpful.

Very nice hotel within a budget, Manager and service boy is fantastic and helped whenever it was required. All the facilities available in the room. Only problem was location, though its very near to Keventers/Kunga but the road is very steep. If anyone is having arthritis or senior citizen then they should avoid the hotel just because of location. Others pls do visit the hotel u will not regret.

It is not so far from main attraction, Darjeeling mall. Only 10 minutes if you walk slowly. But it is located on stiff elevation aprrox 30 deg slope. So old age peoples may face problems to reach the hotel. Room and toilet is good.

We stayed on 11-14th August and will mention the pros and cons. Genuine review from my experience. Pros ::::: 1. Location - It is near the mall road steel slope nearby so the cars don't come nearby and they request us to come near Ramadha hotel for pickup. But the location is still good. 2. Food - As per my experience the quality is good, had matar ghoogni, luchi, aloo Paratha. But it's limited as per the offseason. I asked for an egg boil they mention only one and if i take extra then I need to pay 20 rs\ egg. But after discussing with the manager I got 2 thanks. But my question is that during the off season is it so to get one egg or one omelette. Can confirm here other people? Tea and coffee is also limited !! Is the offseason is for limited food ? Are we paying less for breakfast as per hotel charges ? If we paid 150 -200\ head for breakfast can't we have egg and tea and coffee is not possible ? And so less fruits they are keeping once eaten they are not refilling \ less amt Cons::::: 3. Rooms - Water was always leaking from the washroom and was damp, but we did not complain about small things. The worst is the tv they did not recharge for me after repeated reminders. And their housekeeping doesn't clean the bathroom properly and the room they just broom nothing else and refill tea coffee if any 4. Kindly educate your care taker staff. They were serving very hot RO(not sure) drinking water in plastic bottles which is cancerous and one more thing they helped us with the luggage till Mall and I was happy to tip him 20 rs after that he told me to tip him 100 why? My qs is the tipping amount i need to listen to him ? He mentioned this is for 2 people. One more he also did not wait for my taxi and he kept took money. (50) and went again why? Should have helped to keep the luggage inside the boot ! Not even helped me with recharge my tv and also when I told another boy he told me to eat bread without toast and asking for 100 rs. When in the morning we went for breakfast around 8AM, the hotel staffs are very unprofessional, have to tell repeatedly to turn on the the lights also mosquitos flies were roaming around us during breakfast. Isn't it unhygienic, not sure what's inside there kitchen. So my overall experience is 2.5\5

Even 5 stars are less for this Wonderful Wonder woods hotel..Best location,best rooms,best staff,best service,best view.. Better than any 5star hotel in Darjeeling in this price . Mr. Lateef is gem for this hotel .He knws the value of guest and always be ready to give top notch service to guests.. Staffs - All staffs are very well behaved and generous...Like in the reception Mr.Lateef and in the restaurant Anish provided A one service to us. Rooms - Rooms are best according to their price range ..View from room is guaranteed one of the best in whole darjeeling.All basic facilities and amenities available as per price range .very clean and modern bathroom with all toiletries. Breakfast - Breakfast is limited option and repeated menu breakfast..But super tasty and fast service.. Location - Better than any hotel in darjeeling..U can almost go anywhere from this hotel.. Gandhi road ,clock tower and keventers is just few seconds walk from the hotel.

Here is feedback regarding stay at Wonder wood hotel. Unfortunately, I must say that I was extremely disappointed with several aspects of my experience, including the food, location, and cleaning. Firstly, the food served at the hotel was below par. The options were limited, and the quality of the dishes was poor. The Dinner was particularly disappointing. The breakfast menu are unimpressive, and the taste of the food was substandard. I was expecting a better dining experience, especially given the prices charged by Hotel Secondly, the location of the hotel was inconvenient. The hotel is situated in a noisy and unappealing area. This lack of convenience made my stay less enjoyable than it could have been. Lastly, I was dissatisfied with the cleaning standards at the hotel specifically dining area.This lack of attention to cleanliness was unacceptable. Overall, I was disappointed with my stay at Wonder wood hotel.

Everything was fine till the last day of departure. Good and clean room, food not excellent but decent. Hot running water and room service was good. Staff behaviour good. On the last day I mistakenly closed the bathroom door and it got locked. I informed the reception to get the duplicate key and to my shock they did'nt had one. During checkout I had to pay rs 300/- extra for door repair. Imagine. Overall good stay but could have been very good.

Really very disappointed with service which they offered and room was very different from photos which are available on internet. Room was not clean. Even food quality was not good. There is no cleanliness.Totally third class room and food.
