Worst place in the world. Dirty bathrooms, the bedsheets and pillow cases were so stained that there was a layer. What made the place so despicable was the attitude of the supervisor named Aneesh, a Nepali bloke. He had the rudest attitude, knew no customer service, and kept demanding money upfront. He even charged us for using the cooking gas (one grand for one day which included the helper making tea and washing the dishes for ONE Meal). The place also had no back-up and every night we had to suffer the load shedding which was for 3 hours at night. The only saving grace was the host Winnie, she was friendly and gracious. Won't ever go there again, unless that guy Aneesh is gone and the place makes some drastic makeover.

Not in the proper city , But when you will be with yours friend's in the 1st floor balcony - That vibes and the views along with the weather makes you feel like out of the world.. nice room the owner mam is also good .. nice parking for bikes .. just 2km away from city.. nice place to stay good rooms. Recommended from my side .. I still mesmerize the view it was so calming . Lights view of the city.

Its a runnish filthy place. Regretting to have stayed there. Tv is there not working. Food is rubbish and served after long long delays. Too much dist blankets stinking. Its a low grade cheap place charging as much as 4 star hotel. This should be strictly looked into by the govt. Department. I reccomend it should be closed.

I have been a regular visitor of this place since 2017. Except the Corona phase I didn't travel to any places. However, with the given ease in rules and protocols, I chose to travel one of the best place in the eastern part of India. The tour has its own importance but staying at Winnie's Lodge has a different memory altogether. The owner Ms. Gene makes every customer feel like home. Her personal attention gives you the comfort like home away from home. She ensures each visitor is attended with her personal care. Her helpfulness and ready to go a step ahead to make our stay memorable is one of the most amazing experience. The place is situated little distant from the hustle and bustle of city being a tourist location. You will find peace & calmness here. Surrounding has amazing views. You can experience the glow of sunrise on the hills right in front of the property. I was amazed to see the beautiful morning while my stay here. Overall, I recommend any traveler to visit here to enjoy safe, economical and hygienic stay. You can save a good amount of money as compared to other hotels in the city.

Owner Winnie is very delightful person with nice hospitality. we feel comfortable with d homely clean environment of lodge enjoying same dinning table, drawing room balcony with owner. One should not expect star hotel like here.. it is home only.. one suggestion-please increase housekeeping staff and enclose wall closet to hang clothes .

I booked 2 rooms for two couples. We informed the owner(Winnie) 4-5 hours in advance that we will be coming in the evening and she confirmed that the rooms are clean. However, when we reached there, the rooms were very dirty and the mattresses were wet. There were big spiders in the room. Moreover, she did not disclose that the rooms have shared bathroom. The bathrooms were in bad shape. The owner was making excuses for not cleaning the place and gave us a misconcieved view about the maintenance of the place. It was already 9 PM and it would have taken 2-3 hours to clean the room. So, we decided not stay at the place and asked for refund as she did not deliver the rooms in the condition we paid for. However, she refused to give our money back and behaved badly. If there was an option, I would like to give her zero stars.

Strictly avoidable. Previously a hostel for girl students, one floor has been hurriedly converted into a home stay without much thought about guests' comforts. 3 small double beds, not even 6 ft in length, have been added in two rooms and offered as a family accommodation for 6 people. The rooms are cramped for 3 beds or 6 people, washrooms are in bad shape, a price of 3500 for a night was steep for this acco. Online booking platforms should verify the rooms n check if they meet the minimum requirements of hygiene n standards before listing n selling them.

Very good stay that we got in Shillong. Rooms were clean and bathrooms were very small. We stayed there on Diwali night and Winny, the owner brought us crackers and we all celebrated Diwali with all the inmates over there. We had dinner and breakfast from there also. The cook managed to get us breakfast very early in the morning. They also provided Masala tea in the morning. After we finished our Meghalaya trip, we stayed one more day there also and she was very happy to welcome us.
