Wingait Inn - Hotel in Shimla - Shimla, India

A nice little hotel near Chaura maidan Shimla with nice views from all rooms. Staff was very polite and courteous, tariff was a little on higher side considering the type of hotel it is but then Shimla is a tourist place a hill station so it may be justified. Rooms are spacious clean bathrooms and tasty food. Although I went there in off season so only a few rooms were occupied apart from Saturday and Sunday when it was house full. So we couldn't get all the food that were present in the hotel menu. Although it was tasty I wished to get more items on their menu. But overall a nice stay, I stayed there for 17 nights, that speaks for itself.

Location is good, room service is good. Internet doesn't work in some rooms, you better check before you check-in, and bedsheet and pillow covers weren't cleaned enough.

Pros: Very comfortable bed Room service was great The food was good(not great but good) The washroom was neat and clean Cons: +Parking Issue, they have single lane parking. If a car parked in fron of you have to check out you have to get up at night to co-operate. +Water, Washroom was neat and clean but the water had drain(naali) like smell. +No proper payment method, I had to give them cash as their card machine was not working (it seems it was done so intentionally to force guests to pay using cash) Overall 3.5.. of parking was not a big issue i would've given 4

Location wise it's good but the manager and service was horrible. Stayed 2 nights with breakfast & dinner/lunch plan, but they have no idea what we can eat. I have asked about what we can order as we have packages for both stay and food. The hotel owner said I can order anything, later during checkout he charged for some food items and didn't explain properly. Dear Manger/Owner If your are seeing the review, please fix it and show the disclaimer about what food customer can order. 2nd the most pathetic was , they don't have a first aid box at all. So I would recommend never staying unless charges are very less.

Nice Rooms, cool place hang around with fine dine in along with your Loved ones...must try, Staff and services are amazing.. Fantabulous..

Well, when I entered in hotel gate the hotel staff came outside from hotel and pick our luggage after that they wish us and gave the room keys and gave few information about the local tourist places and traditional food.Moreover, I choose premium room for me so I got a balcony view as well as spacious and sofa cum bed room. Though all the things going well, the bathroom taps are not working properly and also the service are flow. In addition the prices of hotel food were little bit expensive as compare to food quality. Lastly, the location was very good and the hotel was in Porsche area of town there was only traffic noise in morning and evening hours otherwise all the time place remain peaceful and the view from the hotel was amazing. In a nutshell, my experience was to much good and I think choosing this hotel is not a bad choice .

1 star for staff behaviour and service. They do their best and no complaint about that. Another star is for location. Near to All important places. You can see the sun rise from your bed. Apart from this everything is bad to average. Rooms are very small. I have never seen such a small room. Furniture and fittings are outdated. In a small room you will see 2 bulky chairs placed in different angle as you can't place the chair stright, rooms are that much small. Food is average. Menu is very small and for most of the items they will say it's not available. They took too much time to prepare. And finally it's not worth the price they are charging. I have paid 3200 per day. Maximum 1500 is justified.
