Windermere River House - Resort hotel in Neriamangalam - Ernakulam, India

It's a wonderful place with huge rooms. The building has 5 rooms and the view from the rooms are beautiful. The highlight was that the pool was private for us (pool is just 4m, so it's safe for all). Location for having food was near the pool and the river. The staffs were really cooperative and made us comfortable. Special thanks to Mr. John, the owner and Mr. Vishnu the manager. I would recommend everyone who wishes to have a calm and peace of mind stay to visit this property.

Our stay at river house was lovely. We celebrated our friends pre wedding bash and had booked the entire property. Everything was amazing - food, hospitality, cleanliness, spaciousness of our rooms, amenities and the location. River house is a 2 acre property with 5 luxurious rooms. It's surrounded by mountains and luscious green landscape. The dining lounge and the pool overlooking the Periyar River is a view worth visiting. We took cycles available at the properly to visit a near by bridge early in the morning. I could also attend to my meetings, thanks to their good wifi network. River house is an ideal stay - be it to enjoy nature, relax or to spark the adventure spirit in you. We'll be visiting again for sure.

Windermere Resorts is a superb place to stay for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy some peace and tranquility. It's always the place we go to, if we need to do a small vacation!

Nestled snugly along the banks of the river Periyar, Windermere Riverhouse is an experience like no other. The very trail leading to the property prepares you to leave the busy world and it's burdens behind and to embrace nature and it's tranquillity. The spacious and spotless rooms mirror the expansive nature of the property perfectly. The dining area is located just beside the banks of the river so meal times are a feast for all your senses, not just your palate. Fancy a lazy dip in a pool to cool off? Check. Fancy not drowning while taking a lazy dip in a pool? Check. They have that covered as well since the pool is only 4 feet deep and but spacious enough for a game of mini water polo. For those that understandably can't remain off grid long due to other commitments, Windermere Riverhouse provides excellent Wifi connectivity so you can complete those mandatory online meetings and get back to relaxing asap. A Reading room with ample material to browse through is open to all visitors. For those that fancy a bit more exercise can borrow cycles provided to the guests and cycle around the the local area and head to the nearby suspension bridge. The people populating the countryside are as warm as can be with their ever smiling faces and you can't buy help crack a smile back. Our stay at Windermere Riverhouse was made all the more special as our hosts accommodated our numerous requests, with genuine sincerity. Will I be going back again? You bet I will. Though in a sense, a part of me never left.

We stayed at Windermere Riverhouse for a total of 3 nights, and it was the most peaceful of all the holidays! The staff was really keen on making it as comfortable for us as they could. Being by the river is one of the most special things about the Riverhouse. Whether it was having breakfast, lunch, or dinner, (which were absolutely scrumptious), or swimming, reading, doing some yoga, we spent most of our time enjoying the serenity of the place and the view of the river. It's a treat for food lovers, book lovers on holiday! The food was unbelievably amazing! Since we were the only guests there at the time, they would ask us what we'd like to eat the next day, and even suggested their most popular dishes, which were a hit with us! There's also a wee little library that we loved sitting in and reading. It's has such a warm feel to it, from people to the place, and the whole experience made our holiday absolutely unforgettable! We will be back again for sure!!

Amazing setting, lovely guest house. The staff are really welcoming and friendly, the size of the place gives it a really personal feel. Loved our stay there.

We stopped by here for lunch, enroute to the Windermere property at Munnar. A group of 20, we were all amazed by the sheer beauty of the location - between river and reserve forest, this place is a thin slice of paradise. It is a great place for a family holiday where one can alternate between a bath in the Periar to a more sedate dip in the infinity pool. The rooms and the facilities do tempt you to stay for a long holiday ....

This place is a hidden paradise! With many nature related activities like bird watching, river kayaking or cycling- we found our stay here to be a true relaxation. The place is quiet and spacious - puts your mind in a more calm state. There is a cosy library where you can choose from some interesting books. Staying here was such a great gift anyone can give themselves. Thank you!
