This is really worth to visit. I went to rock beach for sunrise. But this is the perfect place for sunrise. It is near to Pondicherry airport. And it is recently developed place with good road and lights. Crowd will be less and you will enjoy it well.
This is a nice place to chill around sunset/post lunch with your friends and family. This place has a food court opposite to the beach which is nicely lit. You get a lighthouse view and a peacful part of the sea if you go away from the crowd. This place is proabably nice only on the weekdays as it may get a lot crowded on weekends. The foodcourt prices are reasonable.
Beach is a beautiful beach located in Pondicherry, India. It is a great place to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with family and friends. The beach is relatively secluded, making it a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The sand is soft and white, and the water is clear and blue. There are a few small restaurants and shops located near the beach, but it is mostly undeveloped, which gives it a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
Post Tsunami the beach is not the same. Rocks are placed for protecting the beach from high tides. This turned the beach mostly black. Doesn't interests to play in water generally if the sand is black. Away from water the sand is white and lot of food options and plenty of parking.
The beach is clean. There are spaces to sit and relax. The entire stretch is good for a walk or a drive. There is a food court too.
Beach was serene but little steep. No water activities/ rides available at this place. A food court nearby.
