WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace - Featured Reviews (1138)
I spent more than 30,000 to enjoy two days at Jaisalmer. but this has turned out to be a nightmare. The entrance of the hotel is super pathetic, there was no one to tell where to park the vehicle, and the arrival itself remained truly unconvincing. After reaching the golden suite, it is nowhere close to a suite, smaller than a normal room, literally giving claustrophobic feeling, for which spending 30,000 is truly ridiculous. The position of a c is in front of the washroom!! Food was pathetic. My overall experience is so horrible that left in one day itself, sacrificing 15000 rs. for mental peace. Never ever book in this one.
We went to see the museum inside it. Tickets are way too overpriced in comparison to what you will see inside. And separate tickets for the phone or camera as well.
There is a Museum attached to Mandir Palace Hotel,it's called The Mandir Palace Museum, One of the worst places to visit at Jaisalmer. Felt like we entered a local market, entrance was stinking. INR 80/- is charged to show some 20-25 utensils, dresses of erstwhile Royal family. The entire Museum tour was over in 15 mins. Longewala Yudh Smarat was free for public where as here, so called Royal family and the Trusts they have formed is looting people and public. Instead of wasting your hard earned money, better have good food for 80/- (and more as per your orders) at Chandan Sree Resturant which is just outside Mandir Palace Museum.
Spacious Traditional Good location But not the worth the money spent. Food can improve a lot in terms of variety (breakfast) and service can be professional and fast.
I visited the museum section which is open for visitors at this site and there is an entrance fee for which you are allowed entry into one section of this palace which is converted into a museum which is maintained well by I assume is managed by the Hotel authorities managing this palace. Well maintained and nice display of several items used by the royal family.

Very disappointed, rooms not upto standard. Had to complain several times about WiFi in rooms. All staff very good and helpful. Just the management needs to improve in customer service.
Good location and heritage property. However, limited options for food at the restaurant. Rooms require maintenance.
