Food was good but don't expect much. This restaurant is pretty old, youtubers just created the hype due to which it's busy all the time. Already the service is bad now it has become worst. 2 wheel parking is bit difficult 4 wheel is parking is totally not possible opposite we can find some spots for parking we can use that. Sambar idly is good rest are all average.

Idly sambar topclass it beats ratna cafe sambar taste. Quant wise foods all are worth for the price tag. Add tandoori menus.

By 9 pm itself their famous Idly Sambar not available.. We had mini Idly and Onion rava Dosa with Sambar Vada.. Food is average.. It was told to me that their Idly and Sambar is great. But for me it is not better than Rathna cafe.. May be next time we will come early to taste Idly Sambar..

Hadnt been there more than a decade as i relocated .. recently got a chance to go.. Had mini meals, Chola poori, Podi dosa... As we were bit late, one missing item in mini meals was compensated with Fried rice.. Liked the chutney, sambar; Special mention for the Chole, it's too good.. Bit crowded always, parking will be bit difficult

Nice restaurant in Chennai to have breakfast and lunch. Reasonable prices. Food is tasty. Parking is a challenge since the restaurant is located on the main road.

This is mainly about vegetarian restaurent. Many people laud this hotel's sambar over Ratna Cafe's. Perhaps they have adapted to the local flavour. But I am a Tamil from Sri Lanka, and to my surprise, I found Ratna Cafe's sambar to be exceptionally good. This hotel's sambar, on the other hand, was rather below average. Maybe I have not developed a local palate. I also had pongal vada, which was decent, but I still prefer Ratna Cafe's more.

One of the best budget friendly hotel in purasawalkam, parotta kuruma, idly sambar, pongal, dosai are best here. Service and table cleaning need to be improved Dishes oil need to be reduced and quality of mini meals need to be increased, Sambar rice is just spicy can add more veggies, and can add sundal and payasam. Pls introduce budget meals, mini meals alone is no good, Management pls consider

Everytime I step into Welcome hotel, I relieve my childhood memories. Saambar Idly is a must try and the restaurant has managed to retain it's authentic, consistent taste over the years. The memories of my childhood, the warm ambiance, and the heavenly taste all combined to create an unforgettable dining experience.
