Waves Beach House - Resort hotel in Veerampattinam - Pondicherry, India

We found this privately managed property extremely good. Rooms are super large at both at ground and first floor. Extremely neat rooms with superb interiors. Swimming pool is also good to relax. It is very near to eden beach one of the most blue beaching India with white sand. It is more suitable for those to be there and relax. Last but not the least owner is real gentleman.

Things we liked: 1. The place is ~100m from the beach. 2. Safe place with pool, balcony and spacious room & bathroom. 3. The owner was okay with staying 5 people in a room (due to the long weekend & we planned our trip last-minute, we couldn't find good properties in our budget : <25k for 3 days) 4. The room on the first floor was quite big as it has kitchen and dining area. It has a big balcony. Things we didn't like: 1. The place was in south pondicherry though the main city (french colony, cafes, white town) is 10kms away. 2. Utensils, electric kettle, fridge was not cleaned properly. Faced ant issue as well on bed & sofa) 3. We took a stay for 3 days and no one came for the room service on the 3rd day despite calling the owner multiple times and he ensured that someone would come. (On the second day the owner came to clean the room by himself which is very generous but again it was not thoroughly cleaned) 4. The bathroom/washroom was never cleaned during the complete stay of 3 days. 5. During day time (2-4pm), we were using the pool and were listening to music but the owner called multiple times that the people staying on the ground floor (in the same property) are getting disturbed. 6. We had to wash the utensils by ourselves. 7. We had to carry a 20L water barrel on the first floor by ourselves twice! 8. During checkout, the house keeper came in lungi (half naked) and asked for the tip. When we told him "no cleaning, no tip", he went furious and started speaking loudly in his language and told us to leave the room asap (we felt kinda 'Get Lost') On the first day, I was thinking of recommending this place to my friends but after a 3 day stay and what happened while at checkout, I'm definitely NOT RECOMMENDING this place to anyone! The owner was polite and respectful. But the property can be maintained better as 5000 per day doesn't seem worth it.

Overall stay is okay, located in a quiet place, away from tourist locations. 5mins walk to reach the beach(not a beach view stay). This beach is good to play but few people can feel uncomfortable because there are no tourists at all in this location. Pool is small but ok for small group or children. In my opinion price is expensive for this stay, paid 6k for a room for a day. Paid refundable amount of 2k additional before itself to cover any damages, which they refunded later. There are no restaurants nearby but Swiggy is available. We stayed with 2yr old kid and we asked for a glass of milk for the kid and care taker said we should only go to the shop and get it. No help from care taker there, we felt it uncommon though. Google maps took us in a correct route but there is no visible name board for the stay to identify immediately.

The calm experience of staying so close to the beach with a great view of the beach blended with modern architecture and a very polite and thoughtful team made my stay at waves beach house mesmerising. The rooms vere spacious and there is also a private pool which I enjoyed thoroughly. It's suited for both family get-togethers and private parties Good place for family or friends. Outside of city noise. Good beach nearby and a well maintained pool inside the resort to enjoy. Will definitely return if got the chance.

Un-hygiene rooms, That property is located away from all the tourist spots and it takes min 30mins to reach any place. and no auto or cab available. The road to approach this property was really bad. very difficult to reach this property. Food is not available nearby and swiggy also. When the time of check-in owners are not available. It's not a swimming pool it's just a small water tank. It's not near the tourist beach and it's very uncomfortable to go out at night. Don't fall for the pictures. Very small place and unclean.

1. Un-hygiene rooms 2. They didn't return the refundable deposit. 3. When asked for refund , the owner was really rude. 4. That property located away from all the tourist spots. 5. Swimming pool was full of flies. 6. The road to reach property was really not good. 7. There's beach nearby but it's not the tourist attraction, no tourists were found except the local neighbourhood people. 8. Kettle , water can, green tea bags, blankets, bathroom, balcony, outdoor furniture everything seems to be so un-hygiene. (Green tea bags seems to be left there since ages, covered with some dirt marks on it ). 9. Food is not available nearby. 10. Price was around 5000 and 2000 for refundable amount they said, but while checking out they said we will gpay your 2000 you can checkout now. We trusted him and vacated the property later he doesn't returned our money back . As we were getting late for bus, we didn't get enough time to go back to the property for that money . 11.For this amount you can book a star hotel in the city instead. 12. The owner is a big fraud , with no manners at all. Before booking this property consider this review for your sake.

A good vibe resort , enjoyed a lot there .. Its very suitable for every family. Clean and Neat rooms, facilities are good, Gives a very good privacy from neighbour homes.

The place was pleasant. Beach was nearby and no threat of strangers.. the house was perfectly fenced. The owner was too polite and we were with good privacy. We did not try the cook available. There are enough fishermen to take to you in the sea. They will charge Rs. 2000 for 1 hour. They will provide life jackets and 3 person accompany you. However with your own risk. The place was fantastic for family stay too. I would really go there again with my family. It is 7 kms away from Pondicherry and please be prepared to drive.. Once you go there everyone will feel to go for 2nd time. The swimming pool was awesome and children will enjoy.
