Waterside Cafe - Buffet restaurant in Kolkata - Presidency, India

Had a great experience!! First time visiting any 5 star hotel. Nicely greeted at the main gate. Vallet parking was available. Very neat and clean place with superb ambience. Food was good too. I wanted to rate 4.5 for Food as I didn't like the preparation of a few dishes. The service and ambience was superb. Live music lifted the ambience more. Highly recommended for anniversary or birthday parties. Overall superb experience...will visit again

Good food and an amazing atmosphere. Beautiful place to spend time with friends and have food. Enjoyed both the food and the cafe.

I wish I could give a zero. It is straight up disappointing to see a luxurious hotel fail so miserably. First of all, the waiters should be taught to return the change (I never faced this issue in any other 5 star hotel in the city). I read a review here before I went where another person complained about the same issue (so it's not an accident or a one time thing). I'll talk about this later but first let's talk food. I'm horrified by the fact that they served Mutton Rogan Josh so bland. Add some spices to it, India is literally known for spices !! The Rogan Josh had so much water that this place doesn't need another pool. I'm sorry if I sound rude because that was the level of disappointment (pain) I felt. I didn't feel like ordering desserts afterward. (We literally headed to another restaurant to feel our taste buds.) Now comes the saddest part of all. The waiter simply assumed I wouldn't want the change (Rs. 85) back. Had he returned the change, I would have given the 200 I had kept for him as his tip. That's just karma doing its thing, he missed a 200 for the 85. The view is somewhat comforting. I hope Hyatt's other restaurant (La cucina) will be better than this but Hyatt stays off my radar for sometime.

Went to have the dinner buffet after several years It has remained the same high standard as in the past. The selection of salads was excellent with great expensive ingredients like green asparagus and lovely olives on the stem. For the main courses they have oriental dishes including dim sums, fresh pizza and pasta to order and the full range in Indian dishes Just an excellent spread that is a buffet with freshly made food. The desert selection is decadent along with a selection of ice creams It's a must try buffet

Amazing food, Great Service! This restaurant is a hidden gem! The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Went for lunch and I reached around 1:30pm and after asking the waiter, she said some items were missing. After few minutes when I again visited the counter found the foods are in a normal temperature. Coming to the food taste- it's a disaster for me. To put my opinion here I have to give one star here. The only thing that I liked i.e., the ambience and the pastries. Those were tasty. Can't expect such behaviour and tasteless food from a restaurant like Hyatt. Kindly focus on recipes and staffs behaviour. They shouldn't just be standing and wait for bills rather focus on what a customer missing on their table. Are they need extra spoon or the water bottle is empty and so on. Our total bill was- 4584/- ( took the service charges as well and that too 5% along with that we didn't got our change; that's ignorable but isn't their duty to give us the left over balance?)

A fine dining place located in a picturesque setting beside the pool and the garden, the Waterside cafe serves a huge variety of food spread across from different cuisines and a dessert section to absolutely die for.

A 5 star hotel if you're visiting your expectation will be sky high (specially when you're not frequent at high end places and on top they say they are running an Easter special Brunch). So we reached and went to the buffet floor. It seemed a bit small in terms of the space but a lot was arranged. Now it's a buffet. So I won't get into the nitty gritties of each item. However the reason I thought the food quality was amazing - 1. The sheer amount of choice. There were so many dishes starting from basic to exquisite. I think my favorite was the spicy pork, bone marrow soup, live pasta & sushi counter. 2. Presentation - the Easter theme was exactly on point. 3. Pricing (Kolkatar lokjon crib korbe eta niye) was exactly on point. Plus to include unlimited alcohol for a very reasonable top up was another surprise. 4. The cocktails were genuinely great. 5. The food available on the counters was tasty. 6. The option of veg was limited but it was sufficient. However, the live counter service to the table took longer than expected. Even cocktails we're taking time. There was enough staff, but not all of them seem knowledgeable. Also even though there was enough space inside, it would be nice to have an option of outside seating as well. But overall it was an extremely satisfying experience
