The Topchanchi Wildlife Sanctuary at Jharkhand is also blessed with a tinge of sprawling grasslands and bamboo trees. the Topchanchi Wildlife Sanctuary is a small jungle, having an area of approx. 9 Sq. Km. The forests here are of Dry Mixed Deciduous type with Dry Peninsular Sal in Baneshpur and Bawardaha, the other tree species being Asan, Bijasal, Dhow, Semal, Kendu, Piar, Karam, Siris, Sidha etc. The grassland and bamboo crops are also present. Leopard, Jungle Cat, Cheetal, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Mongoose, Langur, Jackal, Fox, Wild Dog etc. constitute the mammal fauna here. Topchanchi Lake adds to the richness of the habitat and is visited by migratory winter birds too. The sanctuary provides significant shelter for the resident birds that include bronze winged jacanas, pond herons, egrets, swamp partridges, etc. The nearest railway station is Gomoh. Entry fee : 200 per bus. The sanctuary can be visited during timings 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

It is one of the beautiful places where nature blessed every thing but no effort of human to make is beautiful. Yes it is the place where beauty is dull due lack of gov. investment and locals contribution. This place has beautiful lake , mountains, trees , park but barren and wild due to lack of government and locals efforts. No security, in the area but overall good place if u r finding some thing natural in this area.
