The Waltons are great hosts. So friendly and helpful. They will organise taxis if you want to do any day trips. Breakfast of fruit, eggs and toast while chatting to Mrs Walton and Charlotte Walton is a great start to the day. Fantastic location in the old town, close to restaurants, Chinese fishing nets and shopping. Beautiful heritage building.
We arrived in Kerala after a long and testing flight, exhausted we made our way to the Waltons Homestay which turned out to be the best tonic for our flight fatigue.
The homestay is family-run and we grew very fond of our hosts Charlotte and Christopher. Charlotte in particular was so accommodating and graciously welcomed us to our room and India. She provided us with all the need-to-know information, including recommendations on where to eat, what to do and a handrawn map which was a lifeline when exploring.
The rooms were clean and our beds were refreshed each day. Our room had a little balcony overlooking a beautifully green garden, perfect for a 11am coffee.
Breakfasts were delicious and made in-house by Charlotte's mother. I can recommend the masala omelette. I was particularly impressed by the Walton's commitment to environmentalism, offering water refill stations for their guests. The water is UV treated so is safe for travellers.
Had I an questions, the Waltons were always ready with advice and recommendations. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Kochi, and am hoping to return again in the future.
Walton's homestay is an excellent place to stay in Fort Kochi! The location is centralized, the Waltons are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the homestay is clean and tastefully decorated with a beautiful garden. All in all, Walton's homestay is the best accommodation we have had in the last two months travelling across India.. Thank you again for the amazing time and for answering our many questions! :))
Waltons Homestay is literally a oasis to feel good, relax and have the best time in Kochi you can imagine :) It's completely family run and they are some of the warmest and kindest people I have met on my journey through India. They give you the best food & sightseeing recommendations, provide you with delicious breakfast and any help you need. The rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. Don't miss out to stay here when visiting Kochi - there is no better place!

Absolutely great homestay directly in the heart of Fort Kochi. The staff is super nice, friendly and helpful whenever you need something. The rooms are totally clean and the shower gives warm water whenever you need it. In addition to all of this Waltons has an unbelievable nice garden where you can escape from the sometimes loud and busy street. Also the breakfast was delicious. I would definitely come again!
Great location and nice rooms with all we needed. But the most important thing is the people who runs the place. They know everything about Kochi and willing to help with detailed map, good taxi and riksha drivers, help with finding a place to fix our torn bag. Always welcoming with a smile. The place has a beautiful garden and filtered water for the guests. Great value for money.
Our stay here was amazing. First of all you have the warmest welcome. The owners are really taking care of you, helping in every aspect of your stay, if you need it. They suggested great places to eat and beautiful activities. The place itself is beautiful. A green corner of peace. The rooms are also beautiful and very clean. The beds are very comfortable. There's mosquito nets at the windows and they provide mosquito repellent so you don't need to worry about that either. Great sleep is promised. If you visit Cochi you can't really choose a better place than Waltons.
