Wadhvana Bird Sanctuary Wadhwana is a century old tank, constructed by erstwhile King Gaikwad in 1909-10. This tank has a catchment area of 860 sqkm , deriving its water from Orsang river. This tank provides irrigation to 25 villages. The lake is an important wetland inviting migratory birds from far off places. If you want to enjoy the nature and bird watching, best place to visit and even nearest from Vadodara. Just 1 Hour and 15 minutes away. From the main road of daboi you will start enjoying nature. Till you exit. It's is a beautiful location to visit any time of the year. Best time to visit Morning 6am-8am or Evening 5pm-7pm. Never visit in Afternoon. Carry your own food and water. But Now you will get 2-3 options like Channa Chor, Channa daal an Old sits there to sell. Carry your BINOCULARS. Once you reached the lake. ...start walking Towards Left side. You will have many birds to watch. Kindly refer My photos n clip.... Its not much clear but it will help to give you an idea. Bird sanctuaries are built to protect the birds. Don't Harm them.

peaceful place. some different positivity in the air. awesome place for family picnik but with once condition please dont spoil the place cleaning and environment by plastic and garbages. there are very less places where we can sit and feel positivity in nature.

Very peaceful place with fantastic nature... This is a lake where you can see many type of birds and fishes ... Its just fifty km from baroda, its area is around 630 hectare (7.78 crore sar ft)... Only one negative things is its neads more cleaning at entrance. ...

It's beautiful peace, birds, nature, a lake, etc... A lot of beautiful birds in the lake... Is also a very good place for small trips with friends and family...

It is very peaceful and beautiful nature place. You can see many birds there. Best time to visit for bird lover in between 7 am to 9 am.

Very peaceful place, many ducks and birds are there. Lake is very big and round walk measures- 5 kilometers! Many people come especially to shoot videos and capture birds in pics. There is also a restaurant. There is also a bird watching building which is closed since 5 years. There is a small road which connects lake with farms and canals. But 2 boys were scamming us and asking money to park even if police allowed from free. Beware of them! Bring binoculars if possible because police doesn't allow to go near lake because of giant crocodiles.
