I joined the residential Kalari course at VPS Kalari Madham, and I quickly became immersed in the experience. What's truly unique here is the community culture maintained by the Gurukkal. He's available, accessible, warm, and approachable, which is quite different from the usual power hierarchy between Gurus and students in Kalari schools. Shyju Gurukkal's expertise in Kalari treatments adds a sense of safety to our practice and learning. During my enrollment, the first thing they inquired about was my learning objectives and intended duration of stay. They then tailored a syllabus to suit my goals. It's safe to say that this exceptional experience led me to extend my stay longer than I initially planned.
