Great temple. I bought special darshna tickets for it otherwise you may not even see inside if the place is crowded. We did feed fishes as well in the pond there.
One of the important points in Hampi. It has exceptional architecture and unmatched craftsmanship. It has the world famous incomparable stone chariot and the fascinating musical pillars. It is open for 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on all days of the week. Photography is allowed here. Must visit place
The 'vithal temple' is a great one to visit. It's architecture is on rock is equal to combodian 'Anchor wat' where, I visited in the past. Many kinds of pictures are depicted on the walls.
Perfect place to visit. You can experience amazing architecture. Do take one authentic guide he will take pics and explain things which are not known.
U get battery vans from car parking @20 per person to and fro. Nice place. Entry charges are rs 40 which includes museum, lotus mahal, elephant stable. Please also visit sugreev cave and tungbhadra river behind mandir.
Hampi is an ancient village in the south Indian state of Karnataka. It's dotted with numerous ruined temple complexes from the Vijayanagara Empire. On the south bank of the River Tungabhadra is the 7th-century Hindu Virupaksha Temple, near the revived Hampi Bazaar. A carved stone chariot stands in front of the huge Vittala Temple site. Southeast of Hampi, Daroji Bear Sanctuary is home to the Indian sloth bear.
