VIT Lake - Lake in Vellore - Vellore, India

The lake is man made one to collect rain water, but it is maintained well. The lake is giving a better view and is a big relief during the summer months. You can usually spot some water birds in it.

Calm and peaceful and has a scenic view. But it has been fenced and students can no longer go anywhere near it. Earlier they used to have a jogging track around it.

Very pleasant and serene atmosphere. Walk on the bank of the lake is refreshing. One may spot some migrating water birds at this lake.

Im so lucky to have such opportunity to visit this beautiful lake , so peaceful environment , feel the beauty of silence. Hope I'll go next month.

The lake is visible from vit university Vellore and it's very pretty to gaze on.

A lake maintained by Vellore Institute of Technology adds to the existing greenery inside VIT. This lake and the trees keep the temperature inside VIT a minimum 2 degree below neighbouring areas in Vellore
